    Going to Portland show
    The only one here in the NW, only 293 miles away at the end of winter. Going to take a bit more time off and hang out in the City, visit Powell's bookstore and go over to the ocean. If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. William Blake

    Radio City Presale
    Wish I could help, I got mine through the music today website and no password was needed, but the presale for both radio city shows is full on there..

Well you play Portland, Oregon on a Monday night. How about a Saturday night Seattle show????? Maybe Eugene or Vancouver, BC to fill in the void.

Very happy to see Furthur kick off their Winter tour in Miami. My copies of the SBDs from the September shows tell me that this will be a great lineup and a great tour. We South Florida Dead Heads are thankful that the guys decided to come this way. Hopefully the trip will go on for a few more years and we will see many many more shows. On the BUS since 12-29-1968, and I'm never getting off. "When I die bury me deep, put two speakers at my feet, pair of ear phones on my head, and always play The Grateful Dead."

I love Jerry! I caught 9 shows before Jerry died and I think the DSO/further- Fake Jerry Guy- is pretty good in his impersonation of J.G.. HOWEVER- IT'S KINDA CHEESY AND WEIRD.

I think its time to hang this up guys.. I'm not going to preface this with "I've seen X number of shows, or I've been seeing the Grateful Dead since XX/XX/XX", but once orignal band members start touring with cover band members, I think its time to hang it up. How much money do you still need to make?! Tour like this, rings now...it goes on.. Just my opinion, if you go have fun and enjoy

for 12/12. Face and fees is fine. Can guarantee it will go to a deserving party. Please help me help a sweet sister out! Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

Barton Hall? Gotta love it! Though I wish they would have stuck to smaller halls and PACS... Hey, I guess they can still draw a crowd. Amazing. Now, get cookin'up that special ingredient that makes us all smile on a cloudy day. (/~\) : - }

Makes one wonder if they would consider playing a 5.8.77 set when they're in Ithaca. (In light of Kalecik's/DSO's approach to the music) Too funny.

on this line up and tour...on one hand any time to see Bobby and Phil intertwine is unforgivable to miss, on the other where are Mickey and Bill? This must be a dream come true for Kalecik, he is very good, but can he progress or just mimic? Hmmm twisted. How much are east coast tickets? Guess we'll have to go, run and see!Leave it if you dare...

Ticket prices please! We need some fair warning for the East Coast Winter Run. I, for one, am hoping for prices in range with the venues being played.

The only prices I saw were for the 2 VA shows and they were $45...

I hope you are right about that. I have not yet seen any prices including the two VA shows. Peace - David

My gut reaction has been the same as pat1924 who said HOWEVER- IT'S KINDA CHEESY AND WEIRD. But when I listen to the three shows from Sept. I just smile, smile, smile. My wife and I were listening to the Sept. shows and I was telling her about John Kadlecik from DSO now taking the lead spot, her response was "that's cool" and she is a huge Warren fan, as am I. When I told her that I thought this is pretty strange, she just said "you need to be open minded". Ouch! I hope that John and this band can explore some new sounds, that is one thing I have enjoyed with the great guitar players that have played with The Dead and Phil and Friends. I hope this is a way of exploration and growth and not a just tribute band to itself. How about a few new or different songs? Really take it Furthur, not back in reverse. Diversity and growth, not sameness and stagnation. I have hope that this lineup can do that as have others. If I want to listen to the same thing over and over I have plenty of recordings of the Grateful Dead! Am hoping to make it to Portland. Will miss Billy and Mickey. For those that ask about Bill he has stated he wants to be creative and make new stuff and not just play Dead tunes (interview this year). If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. William Blake

Fellas: Someone get this message to the "powers to be" that book the Further 2010 winter tour -- The Broomfield Event Center -- equidistant between Denver & Boulder right on Hwy 36. Minor league hockey & Basketball really new (maybe 3 years old) facility -- IT has these guys names on it. Perfect stop between Chicago & Portland shows. Book 2 shows. Colo. Deadheads will sell the joint out faster than you can say "Jack Straw from Witchita"! RUN, DON'T WALK, TO BOOK THIS PLACE, FELLAS! 2 SHOWS (AT LEAST!)

While I'm not completely sure about Mickey, Bill has come out and said when asked about Dark Star Orchestra, that while what they do, they do very well, but he has no interest in going back or replicating what they've already done. To him, its all about moving forward, and not trying to recreate any one sound. I can completely understand this, especially being hes' been doing this for a very long time. With his new band, it gives him the freedom to go back and play some older Grateful Dead tunes, but mix it up with a new sound and some new songs that Hunter has put together. And by the way, for anyone who has not seen the BK Trio, get on it, cause these guys are fucking hot!!! As far as the lineup goes for these shows, it will work well, plus it should keep ticket costs hopefully a bit more affordable. I'm willing to pay to see the boys play, but nice when its closer to $50 than $100.

Guys the tour looks like it's shaping up good but don't forget the legions of UK and Euro-DeadHeads. The last time we saw you was 1990 - almost 20 years ago!!! Surely 2010 should mark a return trip. Hey you can all even stay at my house :)

HOORAY! They are coming to ATLANTA! Oh no, I'm not going to have any money! But I'm still going to find a way to be at this show. I would like to do Asheville and Charlotte too...
