    My very first show
I was 11 years old and my older cousin offered to "hang out" with me. Bless her for turning me onto the greatest band EVER.

I was 15. I remember the band walking on stage, 2001 theme, light show screen purple background, then the cresendo part of 2001 and the white block letters flash "Grateful Dead". What a way to start the new decade. Thank you for all the years combined.

This was my first real show. (I slept through the Dead's performance at Woodstock.) I recall hurrying to the Fillmore East from uptown in a cab and finding them already busting out; it was 12:30 a.m. (They didn't start at 2 a.m. ) Also, the set list doesn't coincide with my memory. I recall them closing with Midnight Hour. Anyone else question this set list? BTW, I also made the infamos February 11, 1970 show, when the Allmans and 3 members of the original Fleetwood Mac (inc. founder Peter Green) joined the Dead for a 3-hour, non-stop jam. Anyone else at that show? sugarhollowdaddy

It seems that you are confusing this show with the Late Show of the next night Jan. 3, 1970, where they finished up with "St. Stephen > Midnight Hour"...
