with tears in my eyes, I'm going to have to turn this one down, on the grounds that the Zappa estate is famously litigious and sharky on intellectual property issues. Google "Zappa estate copyright" and it'll give you some idea. Get me a mommy note from Dweezil and we'll talk, as it were, but history suggests major bad scenes if we do this without the estate's permission, which I seriously doubt would be forthcoming. They don't even let people cover his songs.

A DVD containing FLACs of five fine Zappa soundboards from the 70s and 80s (all openly traded but some hard to find) with outstanding bands, exceptional music, experimental weirdness, cheesy doowop tunes, massive guitar solos and of course Frank’s special form of humour and ..err...questionable sexual politics. I saw Zappa more times than I did the Dead and he was never less than brilliant. These shows come with three warnings • They are all soundboards, but not perhaps always the high quality recordings you are used to from the Dead. • Do not listen if you or others listening are of a sensitive nature and do not appreciate Frank’s perverted antics. • Hold on to your seat. These are some of the best rock shows ever recorded (IMHO) RIP Frank, a true non conformist and warped genius. I sometimes wonder what he would be saying about the state of the world today. Here are what I think are the 4 best shows between May and August 1979. I grade each as Very Good, the only 4 from the period I give that grade to. 5/3 is an B+/A- AUD, 5/5 an A- AUD, 7/1 an A SBD, and 8/14 an A AUD. If I have room on the DVD I will include the second set SBD of 8/14 (haven't listened to that yet). 8/14 is an enjoyable, high-energy show that is sure to put a smile on your face. And the AUD is an awesome recording Here are the sources: 79-05-03.glassberg.vernon.18870 79-05-05. glassberg.vernon.18871 79-07-01.sbd.barrick.315 79-08-14.aud.munder.9563

with tears in my eyes, I'm going to have to turn this one down, on the grounds that the Zappa estate is famously litigious and sharky on intellectual property issues. Google "Zappa estate copyright" and it'll give you some idea. Get me a mommy note from Dweezil and we'll talk, as it were, but history suggests major bad scenes if we do this without the estate's permission, which I seriously doubt would be forthcoming. They don't even let people cover his songs.

fair enough. All of the shows on the proposed vine are openly traded through sites that I am sure the Zappa family is aware of. But I fully understand the wish of folks here not to risk the wrath of Franks family. If anyone wants any more info send me a PM ;-) Does anyone know if Frank ever met Jerry and if so how it went?

Phil's Complete Free Soundboards Part One Vine In honor of Phil's upcoming 70th birthday, we have all 36 official free Phil and Friends soundboards in a massive 3 part vine- all pristine quality, all with professional CD jacket artwork for each show. The following paragraph is from phillesh.net: Phil Lesh continues to show his gratitude to everyone who supported him during and since his illness by sharing the music. In honor of organ donors everywhere, Phil Lesh & Friends and Cygnus Productions has been releasing complete shows since Fall 2000. Please show you care and register to be an organ donor. Enjoy and share this music with your friends! And remember this music is FREE ! As bonus material, I'm including 9 additional PAF soundboards from before this period, making 45 shows total. Some have artwork, some don't. To keep things in chronological order, all the bonus material will be in part one. FLAC files on DVD's. Part One will be: DVD One (bonus material): 9/24/94- Berkeley Community Center. This one will focus on two great bands, Cream and The Byrds. They will also include some Jimi Page era Yardbirds. Like the previous installments a lot of this stuff does not have dates, so I wont write it all down. But take my word for it, these are great recordings sourced from SBDs, Pre FM and a bunch of studio outtakes. This will be flac files on 3dvd's. I just got these in the mail and it is easier to burn multiple discs than it is to go back later and re-rip, so here is another 'stache vine. Caveat: I haven't listened to those shows yet so I cant' really vouch for them, but I am sure that most are at least good and that there is a gem or two in here. I looked through the Vindex and omitted the shows that were listed, and I apologize if I include anything that wasn't listed but has been vined. There will be 11 shows in SHN/FLAC format on 3 DVD's. Here are the sources: 85-03-31.oade.connor.8244 85-04-08.sbd.gills.20010 85-06-27.sbd.miller.27863 85-09-03.mtx.seamons.94595 85-09-07 (this is a Seamons MTX, Hunter's Trix Vol 8, but not sure which version) 85-09-12.sbd.barbella.11803 85-10-26.sbd.miller.33929 85-11-04.sbd.braverman.7801 85-11-05.sbd.lai.1188 85-11-07.sbd.connor.5300 85-12-30.sbd.georges.1223

Neil Young Solo Nov. 17, 1992 WTTW studios Chicago, IL "Centerstage" PBS TV broadcast Two-DVD set, NTSC, with menus Pro-shot TV: VHS (unknown generation) > ATI AIW (MPEG-2), Video: 720x480 NTSC, 3.0 M bit/sec, Audio: 48 KHz, 16 bit stereo) Disc One: 1. After the Goldrush Extra 9. Interview With Tim Roth (Uncut) Clyde the Camel's original notes: Filler: Nov. 16, 1992, interview with Tim Roth, about 40 minutes. (Talk only - contains no excerpts of official releases or anything like that.) This one's a classic - if you like solo acoustic Neil Young (and who doesn't?), this is a must for your collection. It's pro-shot and taped from a PBS TV broadcast, and the sound and picture are both excellent. Above is the info that was given to me on this. It says unknown generation, but it looks like it's from a master copy or is very low generation, and someone set up some nice menus for the discs. As a bonus, there's an "uncut" 40-minute interview, meaning you even get to see some woman put makeup on Neil before the talk starts. This show is from the time of the "Harvest Moon" album, so there are a lot of songs from that, plus a lot of oldies. Enjoy this classic video !! And as always Thank you Neil !!

My computer has been just shutting off out of the blue. I think the fan is going out so it over heats. I do push it pretty hard ;-) "Here's my half a dollar if you dare .. double twist when you hit the air. Look at Julie down below .. the levee doing the dopaso"

One of my favorite bands and these demos come from their two best albums, Summerteeth and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. These recordings are great quality, and if you are familiar with any of the songs you will notice some different arrangements. The early working version of "Radio Cure" (titled "Corduroy Cutoff Girl"), as well as alternate studio versions of "Pot Kettle Black" and War On War have never been on any other bootleg. "Magazine Called Sunset" and "Kamera" were previously included on the Kamera/More Like The Moon EP. Everything else is at least somewhat different then anything that has been previously circulated. Three shows from the Dec 79 midwest tour. These are all nice sounding SBD >CM. C source shows and if you are a fan of 79 then get on the bus and sign up for this vine. This vine includes two shows from the Uptown theatre in Chicago (12/3 & 12/4) and one from Indiana Convention Center (12/7). I'm a fan of Lost Sailor > Saint and there are two good ones on this vine. The first out of space which is nice and the other as part of a great and slightly unusual second set open with china > rider, eyes > lost sailor > saint.... really nice Here are the details....
