This installment will be 4 DVDs in lossless format and contain everything from 9/24-11/21, except for the 4 officially released shows (10/19, 11/9, 11/10, 11/11). The next and last part of the 1973 vine will be posted next weekend. Please keep this in lossless only. No problem fellas. Will go out tomorrow. If I didn't have any 1973 and could only sign up for one 1973 vine, this (or the next one, coming soon) would be it. 11/14 through 11/23 at least is an incredible run. And I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the officially released shows from this time period. 10/19 is a DP and 11/9-11/11 is the Winterland 73 box.

I did not get them from etree. They are SHN mostly I believe, maybe some FLAC.

It is supposed to be 1973 Lossless Part 6. I don't know how I didn't notice typing in the "Part 2" as well in the subject line.

problem

jsfc has reported a problem with the first disc. I will send a replacement to him on Mon. So Stuman etal, hang loose, sit tight, or whatever it is Bobby tells us to do after the first set.

Specific Date

Anybody know what day exactly track 11 (Cassidy) on Reckoning was performed? It's all from September & October 1980 at either Radio City Music Hall or The Warfield but I cannot find the specific date for this particular tune. Grate version by the way. Thanks!

October 23rd in New York

Cassidy from "Reckoning" was performed on 10/23/80. Let me know if you've seen or heard any soundboards from October 18 and 19, at the Saenger in New Orleans, both killer shows.

Got the replacement disc

i'm sorry for the delay. i'm having trouble reading the discs, as in " you have inserted a blank DVD, what do you want to do" trouble. it might be that i'm on a mac, also got the same message on my mac at work(it could be a mac thing). i'm going to take them back to work and try it on a PC as i'm sure they were burned on a PC, hopefully that will work, i really want that show!! i'll let you know tomorrow.

crisis adverted... it was a PC thing, downloaded at work and got them on my ipods hard drive, discs should be in the mail by saturday to tommo

down the road feeling sad

i sent the discs out this morning. i'm not having to much luck with the files, i'm getting messages as i'm converting them in "xACT" saying "sanity check" or "no zero at end of file" and one other one. this might be from coping from disc to server to desktop to ipod to desktop to xACT.hope you have better luck, alas my 1st show still eludes me. the songs i was able to convert look small filesizewise so i don't even know if they will work. why can't pc's and mac's just get along : (

Got it today

and I'm ready to send it back out, but I need Arkdeadhead's addy. Have sent PM.Also happy to report no problems copying as noted earlier. Maybe just a MAC thing as noted by grdaed. I'm not familiar with the xACT software, so I don't know it's suitability for the task. I use FLAC frontend for FLAC, and Shorten for Windows (Wshort32) from Softsound for SHN. Many people use Trader's Little Helper, which I believe handles both. Don't know about MAC compatibility on any of those, though. -Tommo
