    Last night at a small venue in Lyndon Vermont with George Jackson on violin, Ross Martin guitar and Myles Sloniker bass. Outstanding bluegrass and beyond. Peak foliage, peak music.

    Great show

    He does music for movies

    My nephew came to town and took me to the event

    Some of these shows have static I think digital NR was used to attenuate the static and it took the highs also.

    Despite the seemingly endless stream of box sets coming into the house I am actually listening to ‘Absolute Elsewhere’ by Blood Incantation. They’re described as death metal in the review in the latest issue of The Wire magazine, but I won’t hold that against them. The reviewer calls it a goddamn masterpiece. I’ll need to listen a few times to see if I agree but it is certainly interesting and I like to hear new things.

    Finally checked it last night, wow.
    Puts a whole new spin on things!
    These shows just got even better…

    Definitely overheads, but that doesn’t surprise as it’s the first 2 or three shows that sound different.

Woke up this morning, heard the sad news and went right to my archives. I have one live Chuck Berry recording and listening to it right now... it just so happens to be 50 Years Ago TODAY...3/19/1967...FILLMORE WEST RIP Chuck Berry thanks for being the seed to this enormously beautiful tree!
