    These El Monte shows are kinda under the radar good, perhaps not quite as tight and energetic after a long year of very eclectic and often superb shows as some, which is understandable, but mostly good shows and nice recordings.

    Yeah PF, 8/18 is pretty cool, 19 perhaps even better?

    EDIT: might as well hit last few I missed from 71…
    Starting with 1/21 (poor audio, chick doesn’t shut up lol), and 1/22/71, more low fidelity…the 24 I’ve heard via Doc…

    A favorite show for a long long time. Ca. '82 lucked into a very nice audience of Set II = Lazy Lightning filler. That tape revealed pure magic. Shared it far and wide before the Bettys first showed up on the scene. Soon after the Bettys arrived Dayton described swinging off the chandeliers to that gorgeous ripping final close to Morning Dew.

    Just finishing Disc 1 from the GSTL release. So sweet!!

    we just looked at each other in amazement
    at the volume of emotion he was pouring out

    also very noteworthy
    drumz > encore
    check it out sometime
    and bruce would soon be departing :(
