Edit insert: Jeez, how many don't you let that deal go downs was that? Going for the record number?
Finishing up my mini-tour of April '78.
That dang 30 days thing sucked me in.
Then the DiP 3 vinyl showed up.
"But I'll get back on my feet again
    The good lord willing
    If he says I may"
Still have DiP 52 in the wrapper, lol.
    A bounty of riches.
    Cheers
That was us about 25 rows up, middle right side at Red Rocks in '03. The guy in the Shakedown t-shirt. Love that Gilbert Shelton of the zoot-suited invisible man swingin' his chain! Wish they'd bring that one back. I'd put the sticker on my car again for sure.
Everybody who was there raise your hand. Or post. HF, was you there?

    Solo Pat sounds awesome!
Saw him several times but always with Lyle and band.
Been digging my new Off-ramp and Missouri discs.

Dead on the Rocks! There both 03 & 04, good sheet Mon!
Wonder how many folks here inadvertently ran into each other BITD?

And S-W-B elsewhere tells tales of Merriweather 85…sigh

But enough nostalgia…where TF were we?
    Oh yeah, 12/14/90

S-W-B - Killer disc - gonna jump right in. (Edit - so very good!)

Keith Fan pretty much (completely?) stopped posting here but pretty darn sure it is him posting on the Steve Hoffman Music Forum "The Grateful Thread" under user name KeithGodchaux. Posted in the last week there re 11/30/73. Not in communication with him, just something I noticed.

miss that guy around these parts ... Anyway, I LOVE how much of Keith's left hand you can hear in the DaP 42 2.23.74 (top notch) He's Gone Other One - Eyes sequence .... Also, LOVE the somewhat laid back & funky groove in the SUPER Eyes outro jam that follows: (aka Stronger Than Dirt, or Milkin' the Turkey). Magic !!!

    Sounds good.
Treated myself to the Black Friday sale price.
Skipped getting 5-5-77 vinyl on Friday since I was able to get a copy of 5-22-77% vinyl a few weeks ago.

The scalpers are already at work with 5-5-77.

Note that according to the Real Gone website there are still 750 copies of DP3 vinyl that were held back for record stores and online retailers. Kind of lame since there are people who missed out when it went on sale and now the price will be higher.

Hey All, Been milling around in the Red Clay and Straight Life recordings. These are Freddie Hubbard's Masterpieces. The musician line up on these sessions are excellent. Highly recmmended and a fine way to take a break from the Dead...

12/6/73. Kind of a meandering one, that doesn't necessarily get to the point until the 37-minute mark. I think it's good to not have much of an agenda sometimes. Eyes of the world kicks in and is smokin' good. Killer Here Comes Sunshine. Why do so many great shows come out of Cleveland?
