I bought tickets for both nights in Philly - 1 night in East Rutherford and MSG on the Dead.net pre-sale , I got my confirmation but does anyone know when these tickets will be mailed out ?

First day of sale #s are in

Looks like MSG, Spectrum & Shoreline were the only shows to sell out completely. What percentage of those tickets went to scalpers is unknown. Seems like states that have strong laws against scalping (Ma. Ct. etc.) were on sale easily. Others got directed to resale sites. Tickets were available from alternate sources, but sailed under radar until those in the know had theirs (typical). Mail order sure looked like the way to go, many thanks go out to those still running that operation. As I suspected, every other venue still has tickets for sale at the sale price (plus the vig). There will be shows that never sell out entirely. That was predictable. All things considered, it is shaping up to be a very comfortable tour for the dedicated. Shakedown St. should be fully operational at most venues. Ten mile skid on a nine mile drive.

i am origanlly from Lowell but i am way up in the northen nh unfortunally i didn't get tickets for worcster cause i was extremly sick when they went on sale., but we are still planing on going hoping we can get tickets there..my wife has never seen the dead before either...it nice to know there is allways room on the bus.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA. Everyone who mailed in will get tickets. Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. Everyone who mailed in will get tickets. Saturday & Sunday, April 18 & 19, 2009 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Everyone who mailed in will get tickets. patience on the mail order.... imagine going through thousands of letters, sorting and organizing each one with love...working to see how many tickets vs requests and manually filling them....this ain't ticketmaster you ordered through and thats a good thing...

Cannot find any info on status of mail order tix!

I have searched this site and the GDSSTOO(or whatever it is) site and cannot find any info on status of mail order. A friend of mine sent me a bulletin(from where I don't know) about the status of mail order. I just wanted to double check with the source to see if it was true that we were getting all the tix we ordered! WOOT WOOT Can someone point me in that direction? I am getting a little let down on how hard it is to find out some info on shows lately. What is all the secrecy about? I signed up MONTHS ago and then again when the word came out about tour for the email alert. Well, I got ONE email the DAY before mail order went down and NO word about online ticketing. Had to find that out thru friends but its all good. Then on the day of mail order AND online tix sales, I get a message on email at 2:30 that tix are sale online. Several hours too late in my opinion! lol So is there any news on the status of mail order? Please someone help! lol Hope that everyone got the tix they wanted and don't support scalpers!

GDTS-TOO send out tix for Bob, Phil @ Fox Theater, Oakland?

Hey there, can anyone tell me if GDTS-TOO has sent out the mail order tickets for the Further gigs for Sept. 18-19-20 in Oakland? Did anyone here receive their tix yet? Gigs are two weeks from today, and though I haven't done mail order since spring tour '95 it seems that I always got my tickets in the mail by the time it was two weeks to the show date. Thanks!

I work on a construction site,And Ive been noticing this truck in the parking lot with several Dead stickers on it, So I finally seen the dude who drives it and said"At least SOMEONE around here likes good music"....We started talking shows and it turns out we started seeing the band the same year(88) and weve been to a bunch of the same shows! yup, the music hall only has about a 5 or 600 standing capacity... Greene is slated to play there 12/30 / 12/31; will some of the boys show up to jam? will the Dog or Phriends set up their own joint gigs back at the Civic Center like last year?? well, well, well, you can never tell. Further is busy until mid-Dec, on the east coast... figure a couple of weeks off for Christmas, and then... hmmmm.... peace.

Looking for a Dead historian...

Hi! I am working on research for a film about DIY music venues, and in the process have stumbled across accounts of the Dead's 1967 "Great Northern Tour." I have read that this was one of the first instances of a major band financing an entire tour themselves. I do not know much more than this, or am I very knowledgeable about the Dead but I thought someone here might be able to answer some questions and shed some light on the history. as I recall from postings elsewhere, Jackie Greene is doing HIS NYE shows at the GAMH those nights.

well well well, you can never tell. right NOW, Jackie is scheduled and tix on sale for the GAMH, 12/30 and 12/31/09 same same last year, Jackie WAS slated for the GAMH around this time, but once Weir and Lesh decided to play the civic center, Jackie cancelled the GAMH and joined in over there. last year, it was, however, around this time that Jackie cancelled the GAMH... so if there is no word from Weir or Lesh in the next couple of weeks, I wouldN't expect any dead / Phriends / DOg shows. the BIG factor this year, , Weir and Lesh are doing the Furthur thing on the east coast until 12/13... so who knows? maybe those boys will just want to take a well deserved rest... Weir got to rest up for the Jamaica thing, too. personally, I think there will NOT be any DOG or Phriends shows, but they MAYBE will show up at the GAMH and jam with jackie. (they did that before some other show a while back...) rumours still flying around... if there is any confirmation one way or the other, please let us know. likewise, I'll do the same. peace.

Hey now! New to the forums, but long to the vibe! We're traveling from DC/VA to CA for this summer's Mountain Air Fest!! Curious to know from other's who have been to this location- the Calaveras County Fairgrounds/Angel's Camp....should we expect it to be as large and as well outfitted as our (east-coast) All Good Festival, for example? Car camping probable if one arrives early? Bountiful food vendors, so as not to worry about cooking? Port-a-johns and pay-showers available? Kind friends? Mellow/safe vibe, despite the huge turnout? We'd love to know as much as we can so we can be well prepared to party! Thanks! ...and see ya'll west-coasters out east for the remainder of the Spring shows!
