Glad I scored the Lyceum Box when it was on sale.

Minglewood sure comes out swinging! And that lucky/joyful wave (dopamine? heh-heh) that we all seek hit me as Jerry lifted off in the Sugaree. 1st set is strong all the way through the super-powered Lazy Lightning > Supplication closer. It's certainly among the best versions I know of ...

X-factor: The mid section jam in Eyes is long and uniquely detailed, with Phil and Keith weaving some magic tones in and around the drummers as Bobby holds the center down and Jerry flits and dances creatively over the top of it all.
(edit: They definitely find some more of this in the middle of The Other One also)

Now on to Drums > Other One etc. - through Brokedown ...
    Always worth a listen 🎶 😊

quite a whiplash in sound from all the pre-hiatus stuff I have been enjoying

can you say "cocaine"? (that's my guess)

3/5/72 Winterland, the recording isn't great but the music is real nice.

    Hopefully another DHB today!

Edit: 22 was nice, but the 23 JG seems to be really enjoying ole Brucey helping out!

Uncle T: love that show! Lotso good sheet on fall 91…oh David?

Jonathan: agree, Cutler made things sound very clean, facilitated by removing all the speakers off stage and isolating the drums. His mix on ITD to me is the sound of the Grateful Dead. His recordings are pristine…BUT!!…no offense, we always thought his live mix in person was way too quiet.
People used to hassle him about it too.
I preferred Healy in the hall, but Cutler on tape…but hey, just my two centavos from someone who’s stereo could be heard two houses away…with all the windows closed lol. Those were the days, thought R&R was never gonna die…

The relaunched Dead Net has just passed its tenth anniversary (and I mine here). So let's offer a huge thank you to all those who keep it going, and especially to MaryE who has so ably and amicably steered us all through winds both foul and fair. THANK YOU.

Amen cosmicbadger! They have given us a great place to hang out in these interwebs. And MaryE has been so kind with everything, including indulging me on my sometimes daily "spam alerts"! Peace, -Dave
