    Rolling A Joint On Caravan

Ha! I have rolled so many joints on that album!
Good to see people are liking it - Caravan were an important part of the'Canterbury music scene' which spawned Soft Machine, Hatfield And The North, National Health, Gong etc but Land Of Grey And Pink is probably the pinnacle.
Richard Sinclair being I think one of the great vocalists and bass players
If you like that check out Camel - especially Mirage and The Snow Goose and there is also a Cantrbury connection in that Sinclair played on Rain Dances and Breathless
I also saw them on the Breathless tour in of all places Canterbury!
    Enjoy!

    The Radio Luxembourg Show...

    ...may 16 1972

    on the medium wave 208

    I can remember being
    9 years old
    stilling in the parlor
    of my grandparents house
    less than 5 miles
    from the border between
    East & West
    Germany
looking at a large square box with large ivory push-buttons
with strange names written across the display
    names like
    Helvetia
    Luxembourg
    Telefunken
    Munchen

yeah, so this show does hold
    a special place
    in memory
    of those summers (68, 69, 74, 75, 77)
    at my grandparents
    with that old Telefunken radio

    PEACE for ALL!

    fun family-party time

looking ahead to the new year, anniversary and all that...
    12/15/86 would be highly preferred

The relaunched Dead Net has just passed its tenth anniversary (and I mine here). So let's offer a huge thank you to all those who keep it going, and especially to MaryE who has so ably and amicably steered us all through winds both foul and fair. THANK YOU.

Amen cosmicbadger! They have given us a great place to hang out in these interwebs. And MaryE has been so kind with everything, including indulging me on my sometimes daily "spam alerts"! Peace, -Dave
