sometimes they post entire first sets (esp from 1988)
bits n pieces probably works best I imagine (most) entire second sets are too long for posting here nice to have you with us, Super Mikey! one of us...one of us...

    Out of curiosity
I'm new here so if this has been asked and answered let me know. I'm curious why they don't post whole sets or show to the tapers section.

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we roll into July with music from 1982, 1984 and 1988.

From 7/28/82 at Red Rocks, the middle night of a three night run of the Dead’s return after three years away from Red Rocks, we have this batch of second set music, Althea; Let It Grow > He's Gone > Truckin' , with those first two tracks being rare second set songs.

Next is the end of the show from the terrific 7/22/84 show at Ventura County Fairgrounds, featuring Space> Morning Dew > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away, Midnight Hour>Brokedown Palace.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 7/29/88 at Laguna Seca, featuring China Cat Sunflower>Crazy Fingers>I Know You Rider, Playing In The Band. Not only does this sequence feature the split China>Rider, it also features a very rare post-1974 version of the complete Playing In The Band.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault. And Happy 150th Birthday, Canada!

Been wishing for an official release of 7/29/88 for ages. What a great run of shows at Laguna Seca from an underrepresented year. Plenty of gold left to mine in those hills. The Ventura '84 and Red Rocks '82 selections are also quite nice.

The Red Rocks selection has a tasty transition "He's Gone -> Truckin'" this is one I am looking for Ventura 84 selection is very nice as well. Similar to 4.14.84, the post space is also what I am looking for. Laguna Seca 88 ~ Playing in the Band !! All of these runs could be a included in a box set !! (make a Greek and Ventura Box set July 1984) Also the Red Rocks 1982 has one of the first "Jack Straw -> Sugaree" combos. May 1982 Greek also included on this list from a couple months earlier with the "Jack Straw -> Sugaree" combo

excellent material whoever decided to turn down Phil's bass, though, needs a good talking-to. two shows I would love to re-experience: 7/18/82 7/13/84

Jerry didn't leave the stage between NFA and the encores. I don't think that happened too often.
