    St. Paul
Yeah, a friend of mine was letting me listen to some soundboard recordings he had of this year and the St. Paul show is really hot. This 5/11 show has one of my all-time favorite versions of Peggy-O. It is very melodic and I totally get what you mean by the cavernous effect wilfredtjones. I'm also usually a bigger fan of brown-eyed women from later like, 87-90 (before Brent died), but this one from St. Paul is really hot.

    I can't argue...
that 5 minutes of "Jerry does some crazy stuff..." is very enticing. The Ramble On Rose seems to be drenched in reverb too...hmmm...talk about crazy stuff!

    cool river otter...
...we all get a little excited when we see wildlife don't we? Your suggestion at the end of the video to start with the first show of the box and go through in order to the last show to experience what a great week was like is a fine one, but I probably won't heed your advice. I'll likely head to the Chicago 5/13 first set first, then Tuscaloosa (a show I've never heard before). After all, the set will be mine and I will have ample opportunity to begin at the beginning as many times as I wish. Why not start at the end, or the middle, or second night for that matter? It definitely won't upset the time/space continuum; will it? Listening to 'Ramble on Rose', I note that recordings from this tour are so immediately recognizable on tape for the reverbed vocals, the sound in effect is cavernous! Just check out the beginning of Half Step from 5/12, over the top until things get settled a bit!

listen to JG's marvelously articulated realizaton of RR's potential b/w 3:22-4:40...regardless of prolific representation, I am looking fwd to augmenting my Spring 77 collection! DL, i love your engagement with the music and the environment - so glad we've your optimism and indefatigable enthusiasm; when i think of your responsiblility in the hands of one of the ponderous, hypercritical 'old-guard'...look forward to decades of great new music (how 'bout you contact CSN(Y) and see if you can't work similar miracles with their vault?)...Peace/Katie

Just got this box set, # 4568(about)The sound quality is GREAT, just listening to first disc. For a 2 track soundboard, just too audiophile to be legal. The Jack Straw on here is different than any that I have ever heard, Jerry sounds incredible and creative, I loved this year the best, so glad I got this. Keith is great too.
