Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we'll hear music from 1977, 1978 and 1989.
The New Year's Eve show on 12/31/77 is often overshadowed by 12/29/77 (understandably so; that show rocks!), but there was plenty of good music on 12/31, including this big jam of Truckin'>Jam>Wharf Rat>Drums>Not Fade Away>Around and Around; One More Saturday Night>Casey Jones. There's a cut in Not Fade Away, but it's not too bad.
We've played you some 4/22/78 music from Nashville, and this week we have the start of the second set, featuring Lazy Lightning>Supplication, It Must Have Been The Roses, Estimated Prophet>Eyes Of The World. That's a bit of a rare second set Lazy Lightning>Supplication, but a good one nonetheless.
Back to more New Year's run music, with tunes from 12/28/89 in Oakland. This time we have the entire first set, featuring two of the bigger Bob jam vehicles, Stranger and Let It Grow, both excellent versions: Let The Good Times Roll, Feel Like A Stranger, Dire Wolf, Little Red Rooster, Ramble On Rose, Queen Jane Approximately, Just A Little Light, Let It Grow.
Thanks for joining us, and be sure to come back next week.
