    OK how about Second Life?
So second life is taking it's place as an interactive social media for business - a place to go hear a lecture or go to a virtual conference. How about a virtual Dead show. Can we talk someone into writing a program that will play old shows and we can watch the crowd dancing and our avitars can dance to the tunes? It will not be as much fun but your less likely to get busted on the way to the show. J

don't use our "real" names on FB either, as we may require a little more virtual in our reality than others! Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

it IS confusing...and sorry marye, for the mixup! i HAVE used johnman for quite some time without thinkin' about it (i was dubbed "johnman" by an old and dear friend in alameda, cuz i always answered the phone "it's john, man")

I suspect I am not alone in this...
I currently have in my Facebook friends request queue several requests from people I suspect are Dead.net folks (judging by who our mutual Facebook friends are) but I have NO IDEA who they are. Since a lot of folks don't use their real names here (which is fine...) I'm having major cognitive dissonance. It was bad enough when I almost couldn't figure out who Johnman was. I'm happy to friend folks from here (well, except the evil spammers, but we're all pretty much in agreement on that one...) but please, if you're from here and send me a friend request, let me know who you are hereabouts so I can connect the real-life name to the person I know! Thanks!

lets have a virtual Furthurfest every time they play. They could have 4 or 5 web cams at every show from on stage to in the crowd. Since they are selling out most every show this is a really good idea whose time has come. I'm facebook friends with Ah-nuhlt "Eating is not cheating" Schwazenegger (Jimmy crack corn and no one cares) Anna Banana over and out Been chipping up rocks from dawn till doom While my rider hides my pipe in the other room

because it's good to know what other scenes are happening out there... What other Dead Head hangouts do you like or otherwise think are worth a visit? (I had to boot a spammer, which is what brought it to my attention after such a long hiatus...)

Interested in joining us for full show Listening Parties? We have a discord room for live chat during the show, where we typically meet on Sun, Tues & Thurs evenings around 10 pm Eastern Time. We start the show at the same time so that we're all hearing the same thing in real time. Message me here or at https://m.me/regalbeagle78 for the 411. We'd love to have you on board our ship of fools.
