okgot this vine at the post office today. There was really no postage due. The recycled envelope had a priority sticker on it and some wizard at the post office said hey, he should pay the difference. Lucky for me, my postal man knows me. He did not try to charge me the difference. thus the what I learned is never leave the former labels on the package. (I always cover it up) Make sure every part of the former package is covered good. (don't confuse usps.com) (they get confused pretty easy) Make sure you sound check your copies after the clone is done. I have got more than a few bunk cdrs in the last 150 I have purchased. Most of these have been in the first 50 pack and the last 50 pack. Very important to get fresh cdrs. Wish the makers would put an expiration date on cdrs!! But it seems that the cheapest packs at retailers are most likely to be the oldest they have in stock. I am talking about Microcenter. If any one else has some ideas about fresh cdr's please make a post.

On 6/22 disc 2, there are 3 extra tracks, Truckin > Other One > Stella Blue. These tracks are not listed above, on Deadlists or Setlists.com , or in the Taping compendium. Any idea where they come from? Set 2 is quite short (it all fits on 1 disc) so I could believe these tracks are from the show, but then why wouldn't any of the above references list them?

Just did a search on deadlists and see that the Dead did Truckin > Other One > Stella on 11/20/73, one of the shows I put out on Cream Filling # 1 (and left on my media player). Maybe when I ripped I somehow put Playing on with them. Anyone else have xtra tracks? IS everyone else's Disc 2 just Playing in the Band?

that it is really Disc 3 (according to my list) that has the Playin' (from 6-22-74, the end of set 1) and then you are correct that the extra tracks on it, are indeed from 11-20-73 (set 2) Denver Colliseum show. Operator had filler on Disc 3 of the 6-23-74 as well with the soundcheck from 7-27-73 Watkins Glen Jam>Wharf Rat. Soooo, to make a long story short (which I am constitutionally incapable of doing) those are extra tracks from the day you identified and are on my disc as well, BUT it was labeled as disc 3 (not 2). You actually solved the mystery yourself, but this does highlight how important it is for everyone to remember: ALWAYS MAKE A COPY OF THE SET-LISTS AND THEN SEND THE ORIGINAL SET-LIST ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL CDS TO THE NEXT PERSON. (Although that does cut down on the mystery a bit.)

Thanks Oroboros! I meant Disc 3, not Disc 2. My bad. Looking forward to the Watkins Glen Jam!

I recieved the discs and have them burned. I have sent 143or245 a pm so I can keep the vine growing. I am leaving on a business trip on mon morning. I will try to get the discs out before I leave, as I won't be back until thurs night. These shows will make the plane ride much better, I'm sure. Thanks to all involved for keeping this vine thing growing!!!!

Sorry guys. Just checked in on this vine to see if it was still going.I did add extra tracks and maybe I forgot to list them. I was trying not to break up any long segments of jammage so split both nights into three cds which left a lot of extra room for filler. Glad to see this one still growing. operator

Hey Everyone, This vine appears to have ended with 143or245. Without getting into too much detail - I was sent a PM explaining that he had been ill and would send the discs out pronto. Well they never arrived - hopefully he's o.k. Sorry about that. Scott

Gr8ful anticipates seeing a package w the Jai Alai shows soon: I'll be in Seattle and central WA for a few days, so I'll endeavor to send them back out by Tax day. Listening to a choice St Louis show from 10/17/72 on Sirius this morning while plugging numbers into TaxAct.

In case anyone doesn't know, Jai Alai (pronounced Hi-Lie) is the oldest game involving a ball still in common practice, and has by far the fastest ball speed of any game. A fronton is the specially constructed (3 granite walls with a net for the fourth wall to protect the audience) arena where you play it. There are 8 games per evening and the audience gambles on them like at a horse or dog track.

Package arrived from Canada before I returned from Washington. Copying 6/22 and noticed cd 2 is the 2nd set and cd 3 is the end of the 1st, with the 3 song sequence mentioned earlier, from Denver. Great selections! I'll send this on to Chris, Monday, 4/14. Patience really is a virtue.
