it appears that the word "dogs" in the title here for this forum has become some sort of ad....it's highlighted in green, and leads to something called "gamevance"

China's more alert today. He's holding his head up and looking around before he falls asleep again. He woke me up this morning by staring hard at me, wanting his breakfast :)********************************** By trying we can easily learn to endure adversity -- another man's I mean. Mark Twain

My dog's a Parson Jack Russell Terrier named Rhett (after Rhett Butler). He's about 12, getting older and lazy. Still the cutest little guy around, friendly and fun.

"If I lose him, I will flounder" -- I am so sorry for you Lilly. The Buddha said that all meetings end in separation. It is conditioned existence. I hope that your cat remains a good companion for you in the time he has left. Be very present in these moments and experience them fully. There is no need to flounder, just calmly accept. Part of accepting is to just feel badly at the appropriate times. All our close pets have very personal karma with us and it is up to us to complete each relationship naturally in harmony. I wish you much grace in dealing with this.

our 19 year old cat had what seems to be a stroke on Saturday. He is senile and deaf, and now lame, but seems to be at peace, so we have decided to care for him as long as it takes. Friends please vibe him that it is a long long time!! I brought him to Europe with me, from America, and he and his brother helped me alot to adjust to my new life-and though his brother died a few years ago, China has stuck with me until now. He is a loving guy-used to follow my daughter around with the devotion normally seen more in dogs than cats. If I lose him, I will flounder. He seems like he has accepted his handicap relatively calmly, so please help me vibe him to keep his amazing will for life just a little bit longer.********************************** By trying we can easily learn to endure adversity -- another man's I mean.
