this was my first concert of any kind, the Dead had an incredible electric energy? about them, the crowd was wild with jumping and arms in the air. I was transported forever into a region of energy-love awareness, no other music has captured me like that first time, except subsequent Dead shows have come close. since then I have sought out the Dead when visiting America from Alaska.

My first Dead show. New Riders opened, I was very high, saw Jerry onstage with the band, and got confused until the fog cleared and Marmaduke sang about robbing the Glendale Train. After the Dead's first set, I asked for a ride home until I was told this was just the beginning. This was a whole new kettle of fish. There appears to be no set list or a tape of this show. I know they closed with Lovelight, but that's all I can swear to.

My first show too. Some guy kept yelling "Don't Murder Me" and they finally played Dire Wolf with Bobby introducing it by saying, "OK man" as if giving in to him. Does anyone remember the position of Truckin in the set list?
