OKC Zoo 7-5-81
This was my first and only time to hear and witness The Grateful Dead live. The day was an overcast July, not as hot as most; packed Zoo amphitheatre (≈ 11,000); my most vivid memory is the opener Shakedown Street. Lost Sailor/Saint of Circumstance were the best (imho) of what was an all-around exceptional show. Thank you Billy, Bob, Bret, Jerry, Phil, and Mickey – forever
Oh yea, then there were the fireworks!
Wish I could have been
Wish I could have been there.
But I was there the next year for Jerry's 40th birthday bash. That was my first show. Hot day, but a good time.

We Don't Want to See YOUR Ass!
A nice outdoor venue, where we could always count on the locals to show up early, park their pick-up trucks, and start blasting Led Zeppelin from the car stereo before the show started. I remember dancing in the back and having a local biker yell at me, "Hey! We don't want to see YOUR ass dancing here! We want to see some CHICKS!" He must have seen my eyes open wide because he hastily added, "Don't worry man; I'm just fuckin' with ya!"
