This show is the first Dead tape anyone ever gave me. Fantastic...it is probably my favorite still! Karma...it's everywhere you're going to be.

Without doubt, one of the greatest shows ever! And my personal favorite ... Dynamic, quirky, and inspired; psychodelic; uplifting and melodious; groovin', bluesy and rocking; lilting and touchingly beautiful in spots - some of everything and masterfully played! For this is all a dream we dreamed, one afternoon long ago ...

Nice drive down from Oxford, with Pete, skipping out on summer school. We weren't aware of a time zone change from eastern to central, so we thought we'd be late; however, we were early and walked right up to the middle of the stage and waited for the group to come out! donna was mesmerizing and the band was in high gear: Eyes of the World was simply incredible.

This is one of the best Road Trips yet, its sure to be a classic of the series, what a great time period, from the super sonic, mind melting, body shaking, chest thumping, crystal clear, Wall Of Sound, you cant get this kind of quality these days, someone would balk at the cost. Its all there for us. Im ready, I just wish I could have been there back then, but I cant I was only 3 years old, this is the next best thing! man I love this Band. The Worlds Greatest Band. Im going to sack the post man in the yard and hes not going to know what hit him, he will probably think it was contraband! as hes walking away all trashed but I will be in heaven as soon as the disc spins. thanks so much!!! Great show. Anyone else irked by the fact only portions are available on spotify? Specifically, they omitted the "My old Kentucky Home" lick. Grr.....

I have 2 acetates of this performance from master disc (mastered at Master Disk by Joe Gastwirt) of the June 18, Freedom Hall Show. Side A - Eyes of the World (Jam), Side B - China Doll, Around & Around, Loose Lucy, Side C - El Paso, Weather Report : Suite, Side D - the Other One (Jam). I acquired it with some other great dead items from a DeadHead who worked for a time for Arista records.
