1st Bay Area Touch/Throwing Stones..Frost makes it debut as...
one of the most memorable and fun venues to see the Dead at.... WOW !!! One of my best shows !!

What a natural amphitheater, the sun, the wind, the natural stepped lawns, Babylonian Gardens it was...and always will be !

Never did understand how we stopped having shows there!!! - The Good Life defined...

    Geoff

"one way or another"-New Speedway Boogie.... and "you need to be kissed often, and by a man who knows how"- Rhett to Scarlet - Gone with the Wind The Big Dog Dad - Schultzie

Man, wish I could have been there. It sounds beautiful! Dupree's Diamond Blues is one of my all time favorites! I really dig the line " it's a shame those boys couldn't be more copacetic" in W LA Fade , I don't know why- but I do I love hearing about the shows, so keep em coming Peace

three saints Wow you missed it. I saw the 2 Phil shows at the Geek in Bazzerkly 02, follwed by Sunday at Frost. I sent you an invite to the show. I was hopping to see you there, along with a few thousand other close friends. The Friday show I had just made it down in front of the stage/ bottom of the bowl when Phil goes into a screamin Golden Road. Scorched the place on that one.

Also my first frost show, my g/f had to work and I had an extra ticket. One of my co-workers had just gone to visit Lil sister at CalPoly and saw the Tube's. Liked the band, not the students who gave him crap for not knowing the "in dance move" called "the towel wipe". I told Ray I had a spare ticket and would restore his faith in concerts. He declined several times and finally agreed. I gave him the ticket since he had an early bike ride up near Crystal Springs road. Waited outside no Ray so I went in to join other friends. Halfway through the first set I dropped a doobie and bent down to pick it up. When I stood up "Ray you made it, join in" Needless to say Ray was a convert. Now fast forward to Oakland 1988 Dylan & the Dead, wife and I are enjoying a doobie and I drop it. I stand up and Ray join in. Ray said he knew he was going to meet me there. another psychotic connection.
