This Friday, April 8th, will see the premiere of the livestream event “Dead Studies: The Wonders Of Dark Star” on the Grateful Dead’s Official YouTube channel. Host Dr. Graeme M. Boone, professor of musicology at The Ohio State University, will present his detailed analysis of the first “Dark Star” of the Europe ‘72 tour, from Wembley Empire Pool, 50 years to the day of the original performance. Boone’s commentary will be accompanied by a 30+ minute planetarium show synced to the song.

Final Days: From The Vault - Property From The Grateful Dead And Friends

Sotheby’s is proud to present From the Vault: Property from the Grateful Dead and Friends, an auction featuring items consigned from the collections of Grateful Dead Productions and their inner circle. The auction includes stage equipment from all eras of Dead tours including surviving components from the legendary Wall of Sound, and items from crew members “Big” Steve Parish, Lawrence “Ram Rod” Shurtliff, and t-shirts from the band's longest serving sound engineer Dan Healy.

Grateful Dead Pumpkin Stencils

Make your jack-o-lantern a little more grateful this year!

1. Print out your favorite stencil.

2. Carefully cut out the black parts. For the traditional Dancing Bear, you will need to cut out the white parts.

3. Place over pumpkin and using a Sharpie, draw the stencil onto your pumpkin.

4. Carve out the stenciled parts of your pumpkin.
