Days Of Dead

He's Gone>Truckin'>Drums>The Other One>Stella Blue
Hint:
A second set jam sequence that is about as classic from this era/year as it gets, featuring songs from 1967, 1970, and a double dose of 1972. We always try to go out with a bang during 30 Days Of Dead, and this certainly fits the bill

This sequence is an example of the hour long jams the Dead were doing most show in Fall 1972, usually centered around an Other One or a Dark Star. Thanks for joining us for another 30 Days Of Dead. We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have. We've already started a folder of tracks we're planning to include in 2025, the Dead's 60th Anniversary. See you then!

    What a Month!

Thanks so very much Dave & Team. Its been a fantastic month of wonderful music. The searches have led me to brilliant concerts and given me plenty to cheer about.

Today's challenge is a magnificent way to close out this delightful month. Pleased to report that, (with the aid of DeadBase), i found this first time. Seem to have been able to up my game this year and achieve about an 80% strike rate.

To all my fellow Deadheads, please take care, stay safe, have a great holiday month, and hopefully we will all be back after another circle round the sun.

    Love, peace, and compassion!!!

This year for me, counting today, 1st try again: 22 correct (2 wrong, 6 too busy to search). Had 27 last year, I must be slipping. What a blast! All the years combine, they melt into a dream. Until next year cats. Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul.

I turn to my wife and I tell her I found it.
In a somewhat sarcastic response she replies, "Awesome! I need to write them for next year, tell them that they need to make them way more difficult. I don't get enough time to do "my thing" while you are searching for the song of the day."

Stay loose everyone and I'll see all you Heads again next year.

Thanks Dave and Co.

Really, That's all folks! What a month it has been. We'll be looking forward to November 2025. Congratulations to those who won and to that person who will win the BIG PRIZE.
Big shout out to those who post comments of the show or shows they attended during this year's quest for a prize. I'm sure that particular show brings back memories, who went along side you, the venture to the venue and along with that new friendships that last forever.
Thanks Dave and crew for such a tremendous time of the year!
To all DEAD HEADS > PEACE OUT!

Your clue, for this last morsel, was as classic as the 51 minutes of listening pleasure !
Been a crazy year for me ,death & loss of love,(Death Don't Have No Mercy In This Land)
and this years picks were strangely connected . I got a couple songs from the only B-day show, I saw, & to end it, a show from my brothers B-day . He had passed a few months ago now ,born on Thanksgiving and the" He's Gone" set me in a good way, followed by some great listening .
Thanks for sharing and caring & for keeping the spirit alive. Always a highlight in November. going to explore the whole fall '72 tour ,looking at the setlists,(& the 11-19 Houston show being one of my favorite tapes from back in the day) I'm thinking it's an overlooked era. Peace and Love to the Cosmos

Always a blast w/y'all. A big dose on the final day. Good headphones listening. Bob & Phil especially there in the beginning. A keyboard note there in the first 10-20 seconds is a strange one ha!

Have fun and close out '24 safely!

And much appreciated.
I'll be 28/30. Many easy ones.
One miss, one no clue - no guess.
The best ever in my 5 years by far.
Spent 2 years before that just listening.
Not downloading anymore. Just too much stuff.
Thanks to all who make it possible.
Cheers

Been doing this since its inception. I always get about 7-10 correct. Never won anything, but that's OK. I like reading the comments (after I guess my show, because some DB always tries to spoil it). I'm impressed with some people's knowledge and ability (and time) to dig through dozens, or hundreds of possible shows. Pretty cool (except for the DBs I previously mentioned). Touch base next November. Until then, as always...GO BRENT!

Another season of 30 Days of Dead comes to its conclusive day, and this head cannot be anything other than grateful for the marvelous offerings and variety of songs from different shows across the span of the Good Ol' Grateful Dead's long, strange trip. Many thanks for making each day its own unique journey through song and history!

A big thanks to Dave and the crew at Dead.net. I look forward to these 30 Days more than I probably should. ;) But they always bring me such joy, and often turn me on to corners in the Dead's history that I had previously missed. Looks like I am going 29 for 29 (with one abstain; the "Casey Jones"). And congrats to all of you who have won!

I want to thank Dave Lemieux, the GOGD, and anyone else who played a part in another great 30 Days of Dead. I also want to toast both the winners and losers this year for a job extremely well done. Itโ€™s always a tremendous pleasure to play a game like this with the best fans in the world!

Until next time keep those good vibes flowing, โ€œblow the horn and tap the tambourine,โ€ and โ€œStop hanging off the balcony.โ€

Peace & Love,
Slim

Iโ€™ve been playing since the beginning, the first couple years i was lucky to get 5-7 correct. This year im 23-30, i couldnโ€™t play the first five days and then only missed two that I tried. Thank you Dave and Dead.net. I feel that 30 DoD is the only thing to keep me sane this November.

wait for another revolution of this bright blue ball we're living on and smile, smile, smile! What a flawless sequence of music to close out 30DOD 2024. Like yesterday, the sync is just exactly perfect. The notes Weir plays around the 7 minute mark of Truckin' are really remarkable. And the ending notes of Stella Blue are the finest I've heard. What a perfect way to float away down that Big River till we all hopefully end up right here again next year. Take care All. May your upcoming year be filled with much Love and Music.
