    Concert Dates and locations
I am a Economics graduate student and a professor of mine is having me gather data about GD. I am looking for the dates and locations of any and all GD concerts from '94-'06. I didn't think there were any, but if you know of any I would love the help! Or maybe where to find this info, thanks!

2 Qs:When/where was the last 2 set GD show (post 75) without Drums? All GD shows were different, but three 2nd sets came very close to being the same, 2 in particular were almost identical, within a space of 6 weeks. Which 3 shows were they? I put these questions in another topic, sorry. Correct answers get a prize!

Where was this dark star performance from
Ok, my question regards the "greyfolded" album. For those who don't know, its a compilation of different dark star performances, the tracks themselves are parts of different DS performances mixed together. The track in question is titled "transilence". It starts out with the band singing "the transitive nightfall of diamonds" (although Jerry alone says diamonds), then theres some really spacey guitar riff. Does anybody know where that specific performance is from? I've been trying to look on my own every once and a while for a few months, and then it dawned on me to ask here. I would appreciate any information. Peace, michael

I remember having that in the spring '90 run of NE... i wanna say it came to me in Hamilton and i parted with it in Albany... but i may have lost it later on. What I do recall , as you stated, was the incredible totality and the handcrafted originality. Best I can recall about the origin of it is that it came from west coast people because they were who i settled in a grooved with once the Lucy kicked in heavily. I left with that book and I cannot help you any further... unfortunately... However, youre not insane or being akashic-spaced... it existed, i had it and it was enjoyable. Best hopes to you in your quest ~ Bilbo

...Deadbase returns no hits when queried for "I can see clearly now (the rain is gone)" or any of the permutations I tried. Looking at just "rain" and Vegas, nope. "rain" and Eugene (the stadium shows), again nope. Generally they played "Box of Rain" or "Looks like Rain". I was at the Vegas run in '93 and although it stormed nearby (that was the "dude got hit by lightning" year) we didn't actually get rained on. If you don't already have it, here's the Deadbase link to noodle around on -- be careful, it's addictive! http://www.deadbase.com/homebase.html ********************************************* I have a sigfile! --> www.kindveggieburritos.com *********************************************

I'm working on a project where I want to attempt to archive Grateful Dead bootleg lot shirts. I would like to create a print publication as well as a website celebrating the lot bootleg shirt. I would also like to document the stories and lore behind the shirts. I would love to hear any stories about anyone funding their tour by selling shirts, stories from shirt creators, any crazy Dead bootleg story (favorite shirt, shirts tha led to introductions, crazy adventures, etc... Feel free to send me any pictures, stories, ideas, suggestions, etc.. Thanks! Peace.

A long, long time ago, when we listened to tapes, a friend of mine had this great show from (I think) May 1978. Here is what (I think) I remember:
Terrapin > Sunrise > Estimated, which were mind-blowing. Probably Donna's best Sunrise; will bring you to tears.
I'm fairly sure that Terrapin went straight in to Sunrise. But I'm sure that Sunrise went straight in to Estimated. I don't think it was edited that way.
They were playing these tunes a lot at that time, but I've combed through the archives and just can't locate a show with this sequence; my memories may be at fault.

Thanks!

In Deadbase X, the lists for all 30 Sunrises:
5-12-77 Estimated>Sunrise>Terrapin
5-22-77 Good Lovin'>Sunrise>Estimated
1-11-78 Samson>Sunrise>Terrapin
4-11-78 Fire>Sunrise>Terrapin
That's all that have either an Estimated or a Terrapin on either side.
So maybe that 5-12-77?

Hey 1st Show!

Thanks for the assist; May 22 1977 is the one. Listening to it right now. You know what's wrong with that show? NOTHING! ;-) Many of the tunes played that night are easily top picks for me.

Does anyone have contact information for the photographer who was shooting family portraits at Laguna Seca in 1988? Today my daughter, who was three years old at those shows, mentioned that the post-show scene at those gigs is one of her earliest memories. I’d love to get a print of the photo that was taken by that photographer. Thanks!

When doing a data transfer I managed to lose all of the 30 Days music I'd collected over the years
I thought I once came across a site that allowed one to download previous years, but darned if I can find it again.
Anybody help me find it again, or something similar?
Thanks in advance.
