    one of the best
Just heard this for the first time, and in terms of overall energy and commitment, it is one of the best. Jerry's singing is magnificant, and the Dark Star-Eyes-China Doll-Sugar Mags is a jam for the ages. Fantastic encores too. One question. Where does the first set end and second set begin? Can't tell from the CDs.

Arrived in San Francisco after sailing for a few months as a Merchant Marine. Always wanted to get to SF. Could not be better, first time on the West Coast, pocket full of Money and Rocking to the Grateful Dead. Life was GOOD. The Show was awsome.

This is my favorite show of all time. The Dark Star is a masterpiece. So many themes, such fear and beauty. Talk about transcendal aethsetics. I wasn't there but I visit often.alta

I believe the Weather Report Suite ends the 1st set, and Miss Half Step kicks off the 2nd set festivities.

This was my very first Dead show. No wonder I was hooked so quickly!
