We're calling all musicians - near and far - to share your love for the music and magic of the Dead through video. Show off your musical chops and you just might find yourself front and center on Dead.net during the month of February! The rules are simple - all video submissions must contain a song either written by or recorded by the Dead. How that song is interpreted, however, is entirely up to you.

    Upload your video to YouTube, tag it "DeadCoversProject," and we'll make it available to view on the band's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/gratefuldead. Can't carry a tune? Join the fun by "liking" your favorites on YouTube.

    Buffalo Crossing - One More Saturday Night

This ain't an official submission from the INTERLOPERS. I just wanted to share this stuff with y'all... The INTERLOPERS are the buzz of the What's what, of what's goin' on around the BERKLEE COLLEGE of MUSIC scene, as well as the Greater New England area of the States for that matter. The first time I had the distinct pleasure of catching them live was this past fall, at GARCIA's (The CAPITOL THEATER ). The INTERLOPERS were the official featured After-party, following the MICKEY HART BAND's absolutely freakin' STELLAR show at the CAPITOL THEATER in Port Chester NY that night... pretty darn hard act to follow, but I'm tellin' you what... the INTERLOPERS kept those Positive Vibes & groooove thangs going, going, strong in to the wee hours, & they did it up right; they made it happen CAP'n!!! Super added bonus... MICKEY HART's Lead vocalists, CRYSTAL MONEE HALL & JOE BAGALE sat in with the INTERLOPERS on a few tunes - twas sublime! Keep your antennas tuned for more stuff from the INTERLOPERS, because they're coming, you're going to hear about the shows, & they are going to be gooood, good for your body & good for your soul :D ! Click it...

Was just wondering: Our DCP (Victim or the Crime, by accident of birth) has around 1700 views (putting it in about 6th place of the most viewed videos), and yet does not show up on the Dead's YouTube list. How come?

We'll segue into IKYR from almost anything :), but this seems particularly "right", especially when we started playing IKYR in A (for years, we played it in E). Hope you like it.

I pasted the embed html into a comment. No show. OTOH, there's a whole slue of similar postings of the same recent (ie, tonight) vintage. Just the Subject, maybe a line of text or two. No video.weird. CANCEL THAT!. Just seems to take a minute or so show up. All is well.

I can verify what gdradio is saying. The youtube playlist has been at 73 videos since about Valentines day. After a couple of days, we went all out, and our videos are currently tagged all of the following: DeadCoversProject DeadCoversProject2014 DeadCoversProject 2014 Dead Covers Project 2014 so I think we've ruled out user error, here. Let me know if there's anything else that I can do :)

....whatever. Check your Private Messages on your gdnet My Account Page to the right -> INBOX Also, on their Facebook page banner, there is an -> to the right. If you click that, you can embed you're video into a Comment there too.
