Had a little crisis yesterday trying to sneak my way into the Chitown show. I had to work at 11am and didn't have access to the computer at 11:05 (9:05 Bay Area Time) so I did what I had to.....my mom was the only one to be able to do it. Although very computer illiterate, I had prep her before I got to work for my backup plan. She did it! Got my two ticks and although they are in crappy section 114 (used to go to the lawn at Shoreline anyway to dance) I'm happy as can be. Don't care about the prices although a little high, I would give away my car to see them just one more time. See you all in Chitown and who knows, maybe I'll find the way back home to catch the Shoreline shows.....I'll run and see! _________________________________________________________ Will you come with me? I can wrap my head around $100 tickets, I suppose--not that I can afford it, but I certainly can't fault anyone who can paying it. Still can't get over the VIP packages--and I think the names are the problem: Golden Road, High Times? And the economy package is Workingman's Dead? How about the Wharf Rat package? A cardboard box in the lot, a bottle of two-buck chuck, and a j of ditchweed for $20 bucks? (No offense to the Wharf Rats organization, who are way cool people.) Have fun, whatever ya'll do--

after several hours i was able to buy tickets (premium ones at 96 per seat). this method sucked (especially as i have read in the posts that some were able to buy ticklets as early as 11:30am) my biggest fear is that shows will turn out to be warren shows (as some have been in the past) i am not spending 96 bucks to see warren play warren tunes i want to see the dead play dead tunes

"Musictoday is a Live Nation company." http://www.musictoday.com/ They set up their own ticket company to compete with TM. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/23/business/23ticket.html Note in the article this phrase, "It also comes as the sale — and resale — of tickets has emerged as a coveted source of revenue in the music business as CD sales plunge." How many of those scalpers and scalper sites can be traced back to LiveNation and TicketMaster?

But why would you charge so much money for tickets when you get to do something you love. (PLAYING IN THE BAND) I might not be able to afford a ticket but rest assure I will be in the parking lot in Philly trying to score a ticket. If anyone agrees with me about 1 FREE show, feel free to e-mail at markmoye@ymail.com or send me a inbox under phatmoye on deadnet. After all, its suppose to be all about the music anyway!!! I'm thrilled and excited about the Gorge Concert, but had so hoped that there would be at least a two nights of music... Most folks travel from afar, set up tents, enjoy the campgorund vibe, go a day or two without a shower, share their food, beer and tokes with fellow concert attendees... so a two or three day event would have me there in a heartbeat!! It's a long way to go for a one night stand...

Lets hope that theses bands can clear their schedule and join us on the bus. Now that would be a show to see, we all have our fav. bands to see with the boys but the Allmans and Doobies (of all kinds) would be historic.

Mail Order Tickets received today for MSG. Good Karma, as I was on top of pre-sale and ticketmaster sale and was shut down both times. I'll be there from Florida making 5 decades of seeing the boys live. Wish all good Karma.

I can't wait for the Gorge show..That is my favorite venue and I have talked to some friends around the country that are thinking of coming out here to go to the show..The set up is amazing and it allows camping so you don't have to drive after the show..I may be selling my Shoreline tickets now since I won't need to pay for air fare and 3 nights hotel

I've heard of this infamous venue. I would love to go, if I can get the time off of my two jobs, golf pro/restaurant, but as in the past....do I really care? NO, so talk me into it. How good is this going to be? Are "the boyz" really worth it (you know I'm smiling ear-to-shining-ear) to go to this show???????????____________________________________________________ Will you come with me? Can somebody please help me and walk me through how to send private messages on my account - I keep trying but I must be doing something wrong-VERY FRUSTRATED!!

Robbie - Go to your Inbox. Then to write a PM, on the top of the page you click the "compose" button. You need to know the person's dead.net username to send a PM. Either that or click on a person's username in a post and it will bring you to the PM page with their username already populated in the "To" field. To respond to a PM just click on the message, then hit the "Reply" button, then it's just like email. Write your PM then hit the "Send private message" button. Hope that helps. for four tickets at the Gorge. YAHOO! And a friend who posts here at times got 3. So we now have a group of 7 from the Spokane area and beyond who will hang together. Also at least 3 others have told me they are getting tickets ASAP. So 10 +; we are all getting lawn tickets so we can hang together. So, as tempted as I was to go for the reserved seating for this show, especially after seeing Bill Kreutzmann the other night so close, I opted for the lawn. (first time back on lawn since 92 Deer Creek) I just had too many other friends that are going to meet out here, that I wanted to be with family for this show. Either way, I am stoked. Haven't felt this good about seeing the band back together in years, more so than even the Alpine 2002 shows.I also feel a sense of togetherness with the band this time around that they have worked out their own differences that the music should gel together much more easily. I'm thinking these shows could be the best performances in 20 years. If you can make this one, especially if you've never been out there, you should make it if you can. See you there.

I tried to fax this morning using a free faxzero this morning at 9am pacific time and since it's a service I didn't know if it went through and had to go to work. So I get home from my split shift and bammo, they denied it after 5 times that it was busy. BUMMER!!!! Don't you hate the fact that they took off the fax program in Windows? They had this very easy to use program in every windows prior to Vista! So I'm in total high hopes and crossed fingers that I when I had my mom send it from work about 10 mins ago it will get to my brother's and sisters at GDTSTOO! I know it faxed, but I'm just hoping there are tickets left for the may 4th show at Chicago. I might be able to whip up some more cash later and order Shoreline tix, if they are not sold out by tommorow. I so hope that it wasn't too late!!!!!! I am such a fan of this band that's it's not funny. CROSSING FINGERS! Please lord! ____________________________________________________ Will you come with me? still waiting for any word on mine as well for MSG. Pretty ridiculous how long it has taken...missed all other opp's to get tickets because had faith in going old school. The lack of info coming from GTSTOO has been disappointing at best. Still holding out that they'll come in soon and i'll get to see the boys at MSG. Would love to hear if anyone has ANY info as to the mailorder tickets.
