    Country music singers have been a real close family,But lately some of my kinfolks have disowned a few others and me. I guess it's because I kind of changed my direction. Lord I guess I went and broke their family tradition. They get on me and want to know Hank why do you drink? Why do you roll smoke? Why must you live out the songs that you wrote? Over and over everybody makes my predictions. So if I get stoned, I'm just carrying on an old family tradition. I am very proud of my daddy's name All though his kind of music and mine ain't exactly the same. Stop and think it over. Put yourself in my position. If I get stoned and sing all night long it's a family tradition. So don't ask me, Hank why do you drink? Hank, why do you roll smoke? Why must you live out the songs that you wrote? If I'm down in a honky-tonk some ole slick's trying to give me friction. I said leave me alone I'm singing all night long it's a family tradition. Lord I have loved some ladies and I have loved Jim Beam And they both tried to kill me in 1973. When that doctor asked me, Son how did you get in this condition? I said, hey sawbones, I'm just carrying on an ole family tradition. So don't ask me, Hank why do you drink? Hank, why do roll smoke? Why must you live out the songs that you wrote? warming up nicely, and my Truckin' up to Buffalo, party at the Ralph, is on the truck for delivery, might have to slip on a new shirt and have a listen. On a side note, monkeys on ex. are up for the first party in the park in june......

Back in the 80's, my dad took the entire video of my brother's wedding with the camera upside down. The last thing on the recording is his grumbly baritone growling ... "godammit, you mean I've had this fucking thing..." One of my life's true precious memories. Man oh man, I miss that man.

I'll have to pull a good aud of this tomorrow to listen to over yardwork over the weekend. I just Pre ordered the new Yonder Mountain vinyl yesterday. I'm having fun showing my kids records. Tonight I was showing them the first album I ever bought, The Wall. Many albums are missing, but I still have the first one.

Youngster! I think my first LP was Out of the Blue by ELO, or was it Capt Fantastic by Elton? Probably Elton John, I think it came out in '73-74 (I was 9-10 yrs old).

R.I.P. B.B. King! I was lucky to get to see him about 10 years ago with Buddy Guy warming up. BB sat the whole time while he played but put on a great show. A true blues legend...

And goodnight, dear B.B. Thank you for the music. It's nice to think of everyone communing together in person and remotely over the Dear Jerry fest while I was at work doing the deal. Sorry for the loss of the Blues great. It's just that Wheel. So. Here's to all our safe passage to Chicago and beyond. It will be great while it lasts <3 Boo I hope to see some of those monkeys in June. Hope they have a place to play! Sounds like there's nothing but nothing near SC. Big sigh. :) I have a gray-eyed cat snuggled up to me as I say goodnight with my brown eyes. Another two hours before rrgrr and Tonytone are up but... I think we've had enough of a day, que no?
