@ He talked me into it...
TTB is where it's at! Diablo motors had a hell of a sale, downtown yesterday, Word got around, no money down, take years and years to pay. When I got there the lot was bare, but the salesman said hold on. For a little cash, I gotta two-tone Nash out behind the barn. If the Devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine. With a nine foot grand, a ten piece band and a twelve girl chorus line. I'd raise some loot in a three piece suit, give 'em one dance for a dime, If the Devil Danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine. Well he said friend it ain't the end let's see what I can do. If you own a home, I've got a loan, tailor made for you. Then above the racket a voice in my jacket said, "I'll tote the note." The devil made me do it, talked me in to it, and that was all she wrote. They say debt is a bottomless pit where the devil likes to play. I'd sell my soul to get out of this hole, but there'd be hell to pay. If the Devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine. With a nine foot grand, a ten piece band and a twelve girl chorus line. I'd raise some loot in a three piece suit, give 'em one dance for a dime, If the Devil Danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine

the cover version reminds me of line dancing class... I'm not responsible... you made me do it Well, way down yonder on the Chattahoochee It gets hotter than a hoochie coochie We laid rubber on the Georgia asphalt We got a little crazy but we never got caught. Down by the river on a Friday night Pyramid of cans in the pale moonlight Talkin' 'bout cars and dreamin' 'bout women Never had a plan, just a livin' for the minute. Yeah, way down yonder on the Chattahoochee Never knew how much that muddy water meant to me But I learned how to swim and I learned who I was A lot about livin' and a little 'bout love. Ya ha Well, we fogged up the windows in my old Chevy I was willin' but she wasn't ready So I settled for a burger and a grape sno-cone I dropped her off early but I didn't go home. Down by the river on a Friday night Pyramid of cans in the pale moonlight Talkin' 'bout cars and dreamin' 'bout women Never had a plan, just a livin' for the minute. ...got caught up in a Ry Cooder cover... Blame it all on my roots I showed up in boots And ruined your black tie affair The last one to know The last one to show I was the last one You thought you'd see there And I saw the surprise And the fear in his eyes When I took his glass of champagne And I toasted you Said, honey, we may be through But you'll never hear me complain 'Cause I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns And the beer chases my blues away And I'll be okay I'm not big on social graces Think I'll slip on down to the oasis Oh, I've got friends in low places Well, I guess I was wrong I just don't belong But then, I've been there before Everything's all right I'll just say goodnight And I'll show myself to the door Hey, I didn't mean To cause a big scene Just give me an hour and then Well, I'll be as high As that ivory tower That you're livin' in 'Cause I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns And the beer chases my blues away And I'll be okay I'm not big on social graces Think I'll slip on down to the oasis Oh, I've got friends in low places [3rd Verse:] I guess I was wrong I just don't belong But then, I've been there before And everything is alright I'll just say goodnight And I'll show myself to the door I didn't mean to cause a big scene Just wait 'til I finish this glass Then sweet little lady I'll head back to the bar And you can kiss my ass Names have been changed to protect the innocent.....

Same here but in a small town. The lines are clearly drawn and it is literally the train tracks dividing North from South. I even lived on the far east side which was the farthest from the good parts of town. You learn a lot that way. And how to be self reliant. Baby, ev'rything is all right, uptight, out of sight. Baby, ev'rything is all right, uptight, out of sight. I'm a poorman's son, from across the railroad tracks, The only shirt I own is hangin' on my back, But I'm the envy of ev'ry single guy Since I'm the apple of my girl's eye. When we go out stepping on the town for a while My money's low and my suit's out of style, But it's all right if my clothes aren't new Out of sight because my heart is true. She says baby ev'rything is alright, uptight, out of sight. Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight. She's a pearl of a girl, I guess that's what you might say, I guess her folks brought her up that way, The right side of the tracks, she was born and raised In a great big old house, full of butlers and maids. She says no one is better than I, I know I'm just an average guy, No football hero or smooth Don Juan, Got empty pockets, you see I'm a poorman's son. She says give her the things that money can buy But I'll never, never make my baby cry, And it's all right, what I can't do, Out of sight because my heart is true, She says baby ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight. Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight. Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, ah ah ah ah, Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight. Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight.

I wonder how many people listened to that song and called the number? Or have called 867-5309? We hear you're leaving, that's OK I thought our little wild time had just begun I guess you kind of scared yourself, you turn and run But if you have a change of heart [Chorus:] Rikki don't lose that number You don't wanna call nobody else Send it off in a letter to yourself Rikki don't lose that number It's the only one you own You might use it if you feel better When you get home I have a friend in town, he's heard your name We can go out driving on Slow Hand Row We could stay inside and play games, I don't know And you could have a change of heart [Chorus] You tell yourself you're not my kind But you don't even know your mind And you could have a change of heart [Chorus]

I'm a Nick Cave fan also. Here's one of the best................ "Red Right Hand" Take a little walk to the edge of town and go across the tracks Where the viaduct looms, like a bird of doom As it shifts and cracks Where secrets lie in the border fires, in the humming wires Hey man, you know you're never coming back Past the square, past the bridge, past the mills, past the stacks On a gathering storm comes a tall handsome man in a dusty black coat with a red right hand He'll wrap you in his arms, tell you that you've been a good boy He'll rekindle all the dreams it took you a lifetime to destroy He'll reach deep into the hole, heal your shrinking soul, but there won't be a single thing that you can do He's a god, he's a man, he's a ghost, he's a guru They're whispering his name through this disappearing land But hidden in his coat is a red right hand You don't have no money? He'll get you some You don't have no car? He'll get you one You don't have no self-respect, you feel like an insect Well don't you worry buddy, 'cause here he comes Through the ghettos and the barrio and the bowery and the slum A shadow is cast wherever he stands Stacks of green paper in his red right hand You'll see him in your nightmares, you'll see him in your dreams He'll appear out of nowhere but he ain't what he seems You'll see him in your head, on the TV screen And hey buddy, I'm warning you to turn it off He's a ghost, he's a god, he's a man, he's a guru You're one microscopic cog in his catastrophic plan Designed and directed by his red right hand

RIP Arthur... poor Nick. Here's my tribute: It's up in the morning and on the downs Little white clouds like gambolling lambs And I am breathless over you And the red-breasted robin beats his wings His throat it trembles when he sings For he is helpless before you The happy hooded bluebells bow And bend their heads all a-down Heavied by the early morning dew At the whispering stream, at the bubbling brook The fishes leap up to take a look For they are breathless over you Still your hands And still your heart For still your face comes shining through And all the morning glows anew Still your mind Still your soul For still, the fare of love is true And I am breathless without you The wind circles among the trees And it bangs about the new-made leaves For it is breathless without you The fox chases the rabbit round The rabbit hides beneath the ground For he is defenceless without you The sky of daytime dies away And all the earthly things they stop to play For we are all breathless without you I listen to my juddering bones The blood in my veins and the wind in my lungs And I am breathless without you Still your hands And still your heart For still your face comes shining through And all the morning glows anew Still your soul Still your mind Still, the fire of love is true And I am breathless without you

Would you know my nameIf I saw you in heaven? Would it be the same If I saw you in heaven? I must be strong And carry on 'Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven Would you hold my hand If I saw you in heaven? Would you help me stand If I saw you in heaven? I'll find my way Through night and day 'Cause I know I just can't stay Here in heaven Time can bring you down Time can bend your knees Time can break your heart Have you begging please Begging please Beyond the door There's peace, I'm sure And I know there'll be no more Tears in heaven Would you know my name If I saw you in heaven? Would it be the same If I saw you in heaven? I must be strong And carry on 'Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven 'Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven

There's rumors of war Men dying and women crying If you breathe air, you'll die Perhaps you wonder the reason why But wait, don't you worry, a new day is dawning We'll catch the sun and away we'll fly Are you ready to sit by His throne? Are you ready not to be alone? Someone's coming to take you home And if you're ready then He'll carry you home Are you ready? Are you ready? People say that He won't come And I don't know what say you But if He should, would you be the one? I've got a little question I'd like to ask you Are you ready to sit by His throne? Are you ready not to be alone? Someone's coming to take you home And if you're ready then He'll carry you home Are you ready? Are you ready? Brothers and sisters, I have many Stumbling along to do their thing Love is a song, it's better than any It's better for music, it's easy to sing Are you ready to sit by His throne? Hear the children cryin' (One Love!); Hear the children cryin' (One Heart!), Sayin': give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right; Sayin': let's get together and feel all right. Wo wo-wo wo-wo! Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One Love!); There is one question I'd really love to ask (One Heart!): Is there a place for the hopeless sinner, Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own beliefs? One Love! What about the one heart? One Heart! What about - ? Let's get together and feel all right As it was in the beginning (One Love!); So shall it be in the end (One Heart!), All right! Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right; Let's get together and feel all right. One more thing! Let's get together to fight this Holy Armagiddyon (One Love!), So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (One Song!). Have pity on those whose chances grows t'inner; There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation. Sayin': One Love! What about the One Heart? (One Heart!) What about the - ? Let's get together and feel all right. I'm pleadin' to mankind! (One Love!); Oh, Lord! (One Heart) Wo-ooh! Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right; Let's get together and feel all right. I've been waiting such a long time..... Gonna sit down in the kitchen And fix me something good to eat And make my head a little high And make this whole day complete Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama And put a good buzz on Well pass it to me baby Pass it to me slow We'll take time out to smile a little Before we let it go Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama And put a good buzz on Well there ain't nothin' to do And there's always room for more Fill it, light it, shut up And close the door Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama And put a good buzz on We gonna sit around the kitchen Fix us somethin' good to eat And make ourselves a little high And make the whole day complete Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama And put a good buzz on Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama And put a good buzz on Grazing in the grass...it's a gas.....

The best part of all of us winning, as most of us are just having a good time, not even knowing there is a contest. A Race? Cool! Anybody know if 11/4 time can be considered a waltz? And what song did Bobby use it in the very first time? Ding! We win again! Yabba dabba dooo later than sooner. Carry on, wayward or not, and please turn up the bass...

oh man, that's beautiful...pass it to me slow. You better do as you were told, you better listen to the radio! Radio. Radio. I'd sit alone and watch your light My only friend through teenage nights And everything I had to know I heard it on my radio You gave them all those old time stars Through wars of worlds invaded by Mars You made 'em laugh, you made 'em cry You made us feel like we could fly. Radio. So don't become some background noise A backdrop for the girls and boys Who just don't know or just don't care And just complain when you're not there You had your time, you had the power You've yet to have your finest hour Radio, Radio. All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio blah blah Radio, what's new? Radio, someone still loves you! We watch the shows, we watch the stars On videos for hours and hours We hardly need to use our ears How music changes through the years. Let's hope you never leave old friend Like all good things on you we depend So stick around 'cause we might miss you When we grow tired of all this visual You had your time, you had the power You've yet to have your finest hour Radio, Radio. All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio blah blah Radio, what's new? Someone still loves you! ba dus is idling and pointed at NYC....just a hunch....but an educated one.... Glad you feel comfortable here, Miami is ok with the arrangements.... Carlos + the core 4 = road trip One day I was on the ground When I needed a hand And it couldn't be found I was so far down That I couldn't get up You know and One day I was one of life's losers Even my friends were my ac-cus-ers And in my head Lost before I'd begun I had a dream But it turned to dust What I thought was love That must have been lust I was living in style When the walls fell in When I played my hand I looked like a joker Turn around Fate must have woke her 'Cause lady luck she was Waiting outside the door [Chorus:] I'm winning I'm winning I'm winning And I don't intend on losing again Too bad it belonged to me It was the wrong time And I meant to be It took a long time And I knew for now I can see the day That I breath for Friends agree there's a need To play the game And to win again

I was tuning in the shine on the light night dialDoing anything my radio advised With every one of those late night stations Playing songs bringing tears to my eyes I was seriously thinking about hiding the receiver When the switch broke 'cause it's old They're saying things that I can hardly believe They really think we're getting out of control Radio is a sound salvation Radio is cleaning up the nation They say you better listen to the voice of reason But they don't give you any choice 'cause they think that it's treason So you had better do as you are told You better listen to the radio I wanna bite the hand that feeds me I wanna bite that hand so badly I want to make them wish they'd never seen me Some of my friends sit around every evening And they worry about the times ahead But everybody else is overwhelmed by indifference And the promise of an early bed You either shut up or get cut up, they don't wanna hear about it It's only inches on the reel-to-reel And the radio is in the hands of such a lot of fools Tryin' to anaesthetise the way that you feel Wonderful radio Marvelous radio Wonderful radio Radio, radio

;-) Long ago, and, oh, so far away I fell in love with you before the second show Your guitar, it sounds so sweet and clear, but you're not really here It's just the radio Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby? You said you'd be coming back this way again baby Baby, baby, baby, baby, oh, baby I love you, I really do Loneliness is such a sad affair, and I can hardly wait to be with you again What to say, to make you come again? Come back to me again, and play your sad guitar Hey guys, I just made myself cry.......love that song....

Did someone say roadtrip? Buckle up Sarge! If there's one thing in my life that's missing It's the time that I spend alone Sailing on the cool And bright clear water Lots of those friendly people They're showing me ways to go And I never want to Lose their inspiration Time for a cool change I know that it's time for a cool change Now that my life is so prearranged I know that it's time for a cool change Well, I was born in the sign of water And it's there that I feel my best The albatross and the whales They are my brothers It's kind of a special feeling When you're out on the sea alone Staring at the full moon like a lover Time for a cool change I know that it's time for a cool change Now that my life is so prearranged I know that it's time for a cool change I've never been romantic And sometimes, I don't care I know it may sound selfish But let me breathe the air Yeah, yeah Let me breathe the air If there's one thing In my life that's missing It's the time that I spend alone Sailing on the cool And bright clear water It's kind of a special feeling Out on the sea alone Staring at the full moon Like a lover Time for a cool change I know that it's time for a cool change Now that my life is so prearranged I know that it's time for a cool change (Time for a cool change) It's time, it's time It's time, it's time For a cool, cool change (Time for a cool change) I know it's time for a cool change (Time for a cool change) Now that my life is so prearranged Well, I know, I know I know, I know (Time for a cool change) It's time for a cool change Yes, it is, yes, it is yes, it is You know it's time for a cool change

I still don't know what I was waiting for And my time was running wild A million dead-end streets and every time I thought I'd got it made It seemed the taste was not so sweet So I turned myself to face me But I've never caught a glimpse Of how the others must see the faker I'm much too fast to take that test Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Turn and face the strain) Ch-ch-Changes Don't want to be a richer man Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Turn and face the strain) Ch-ch-Changes Just gonna have to be a different man Time may change me But I can't trace time I watch the ripples change their size But never leave the stream Of warm impermanence and So the days float through my eyes But still the days seem the same And these children that you spit on As they try to change their worlds Are immune to your consultations They're quite aware of what they're going through Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Turn and face the strain) Ch-ch-Changes Don't tell them to grow up and out of it Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Turn and face the strain) Ch-ch-Changes Where's your shame You've left us up to our necks in it Time may change me But you can't trace time Strange fascination, fascinating me Changes are taking the pace I'm going through Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Turn and face the strain) Ch-ch-Changes Oh, look out you rock 'n rollers Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Turn and face the strain) Ch-ch-Changes Pretty soon now you're gonna get older Time may change me But I can't trace time I said that time may change me But I can't trace time

You better watch what you say You better watch what you do to me Don't get carried away Girl, if you can do better than me, go Yeah go but remember Good love is hard to find Good love is hard to find You got lucky babe Yeah, you got lucky babe When I found you- You put a hand on my cheek And then you turn your eyes away If you don't feel complete If I don't take you all of the way, go Yeah go, but remember good love Is hard to find You got lucky babe Yeah you got lucky When I found you

found the LP for 25 cents back in 1980..... In my top 5 ever since.....along with Abbey Road, Layla....and two others..... Stan, I think we are Siamese twins separated at birth.... I was standing by the window On a cold and cloudy day When I saw the hearse come rolling To carry my mother away Will the circle be unbroken Bye and bye Lord bye and bye There's a better home a waiting In the sky Lord in the sky I said to the undertaker Undertaker please drive slow For that body you are carrying Lord I hate to see her go Well I followed close behind her Tried to hold up and be brave But I could not hide my sorrow When they laid her in that grave I went back home Lord that home was lonesome Since my mother, she was gone All my brothers and sisters crying What a home so sad and alone

nighttime in the switching yard here.... I will leave you with a Puppers choice..... Only you know and I know All the lovin' we've got to show So don't refuse to believe it By reading too many meanings 'Cause you know that I mean what I say So don't go, and never take me the wrong way You know you can't go on gettin' your own way 'Cause if you do, it's gonna get you someday We're both here to be pleasin' Oh, no, no, not deceivin' But it's hard to believe in Ah yeah, when you've been so mistreated 'Cause you know that I mean what I say So don't go, and never take me the wrong way You know you can't go on gettin' your own way 'Cause if you do, it's gonna get you someday If I seem to mislead you It's just my craziness comin' through But when it comes down to just two Ah, I ain't no crazier than you 'Cause you know that I mean what I say So don't go, and never take me the wrong way You know you can't go on gettin' your own way 'Cause if you do, it's gonna get you someday Only you know and I know Only you know and I know Only you know and I know, oh yeah Only you know and I know, oh yeah, get up Have y'all a great weekend.....back Monday....God willing and the creek don't rise.... I'm moving through some changes I'll never be the same Something you did touched me There's no one else to blame The love we had has fallen The love we used to share We've given up pretending As if you didn't care Change changing places Root yourself to the ground Capitalize on this good fortune One word can bring you round Changes I look into the mirror I see no happiness All the warmth I gave you Has turned to emptiness The love we had has fallen The love we used to share You've left me here believing In love that wasn't there Change changing places Root yourself to the ground Word to the wise, well you get what's coming One word can bring you round Changes But when I look into your eyes and try to find out how There's no way to save it now and everything I feel Changes Keep looking for Changes Changes For some reason you're questioning why I always believe it gets better One difference between you and I Your heart is inside your head One word from you, one word from me A clear design on your liberty Who could believe when love has gone How we move on like everyone Only such fools Only such jealous hearts Only through love changes come Change changing places Root yourself to the ground Capitalize on this good fortune One word can bring you round Changes One road to loneliness It's always the same One road to happiness It's calling your name Change changing places Changes Root yourself to the ground Capitalize on this good fortune One word can bring you round Changes Change changing places Changes Root yourself to the ground Word to the wise, well you get what's coming One word, one word can bring you round Changes YES!

After meeting the SD group in person and experiencing the best concert experience I have ever been to, I have to admit I am the better man for it. So many kind people, so much coolness and kindness and love. I am the better man for it. So many amazing things went down, the vibe was one I have never felt before. So for someone to say that any of these were not Grateful Dead shows, it's all bullshit. I was there, man, it was the dead in just about every aspect, in some ways it was way better than the mid-nineties scene. When I hear about people (like that jackass Terry Boers) bashing on this band or the event in general, I just laugh. Some people just don't get it. I get it, and I got it 10-fold at FTW, a fantastic spectacle it was... I am so blessed to have been part of it...

Hey buddy, I agree. I am a changed person as well. I met up with you folks to try to get a taste of the vibe and I got a whole soul full! Those talking trash obviously are not as attune to the cosmic vibrations reverberating through Chicago that weekend as we. Well I used to wake the mornin' Before the rooster crowed Searchin' for soda bottles To get myself some dough Brought 'em down to the corner Down to the country store Cash 'em in and give my money To a man named Curtis Lowe [Verse 2] Old Curt was a black man With white curly hair When he had a fifth of wine He did not have a care He used to own an old Dobro Used to play across his knee I'd give old Curt my money He'd play all day for me [Chorus] Play me a song Curtis Lowe, Curtis Lowe Well I got your drinkin' money Tune up your Dobro People said he was a'useless Them people all were fools 'Cause Curtis Lowe was the finest picker To ever play the blues [Verse 3] Well he looked to be 60 Maybe I was 10 Momma used to whoop me But I'd go see him again I'd clap my hands, stomp my feet Tryin' to stay in time Well he'd play me a song or two Then take another drink of wine [Chorus] Play me a song Curtis Lowe, Curtis Lowe Well I got your drinkin' money Tune up your Dobro People said he was a'useless Them people all were fools 'Cause Curtis Lowe was the finest picker To ever play the blues [Verse 4] On the day old Curtis died Nobody came to pray Old preacher said some words And they chucked him in the clay Well he lived a lifetime Playin' the black man's blues And on the day he lost his life That's all he had to lose [Chorus w/alternate ending] Play me a song Curtis Lowe, yeah Curtis Lowe I wish that you was here So everyone would know People said you was a'useless But them people all were fools 'Cuz Curtis your the finest picker To ever play the blues

I was cutting the rug Down at a place called The Jug With a girl named Linda Lu When in walked a man With a gun in his hand And he was looking for you know who. He said, "Hey there fellow, With the hair colored yellow, Watcha tryin' to prove? 'Cause that's my woman there And I'm a man who cares And this might be all for you." I was scared and fearing for my life. I was shakin' like a leaf on a tree. 'Cause he was lean, mean, Big and bad, Lord, Pointin' that gun at me. I said, "Wait a minute, mister, I didn't even kiss her. Don't want no trouble with you. And I know you don't owe me But I wish you'd let me Ask one favor from you." [Chorus] "Won't you give me three steps, Gimme three steps mister, Gimme three steps towards the door? Gimme three steps Gimme three steps mister, And you'll never see me no more." Well the crowd cleared away And I began to pray As the water fell on the floor. And I'm telling you son, Well, it ain't no fun Staring straight down a forty-four. Well he turned and screamed at Linda Lu And that's the break I was looking for. And you could hear me screaming a mile away As I was headed out towards the door yes, please...

Mama told me when I was young Come sit beside me, my only son And listen closely to what I say. And if you do this It will help you some sunny day. Take your time... Don't live too fast, Troubles will come and they will pass. Go find a woman and you'll find love, And don't forget son, There is someone up above. [Chorus:] And be a simple kind of man. Be something you love and understand. Baby, be a simple kind of man. Oh won't you do this for me son, If you can? Forget your lust for the rich man's gold All that you need is in your soul, And you can do this if you try. All that I want for you my son, Is to be satisfied. [Chorus] Boy, don't you worry. You'll find yourself. Follow your heart, And nothing else. You can do this, If you try. All that I want for you my son, Is to be satisfied. [Chorus] Baby, be a simple, be a simple man Oh, be something you love and understand Baby, be a simple kind of man

This is the end Beautiful friend This is the end My only friend, the end Of our elaborate plans, the end Of everything that stands, the end No safety or surprise, the end I'll never look into your eyes...again Can you picture what will be So limitless and free Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand In a...desperate land Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain And all the children are insane All the children are insane Waiting for the summer rain, yeah There's danger on the edge of town Ride the King's highway, baby Weird scenes inside the gold mine Ride the highway west, baby Ride the snake, ride the snake To the lake, the ancient lake, baby The snake is long, seven miles Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold The west is the best The west is the best Get here, and we'll do the rest The blue bus is callin' us The blue bus is callin' us Driver, where you taken' us The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on He took a face from the ancient gallery And he walked on down the hall He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he Paid a visit to his brother, and then he He walked on down the hall, and And he came to a door...and he looked inside Father, yes son, I want to kill you Mother...I want to...fuck you C'mon baby, take a chance with us C'mon baby, take a chance with us C'mon baby, take a chance with us And meet me at the back of the blue bus Doin' a blue rock On a blue bus Doin' a blue rock C'mon, yeah Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill This is the end Beautiful friend This is the end My only friend, the end It hurts to set you free But you'll never follow me The end of laughter and soft lies The end of nights we tried to die This is the end

Here comes old Rosie she's looking mighty fine Here comes hot Nancy she's steppin' right on time There go the street lights bringin on the night Here come the men faces hidden from the light All through the shadows they come and they go With only one thing in common They got the fire down below Here comes the rich man in his big long limousine Here comes the poor man all you got to have is green Here comes the banker and the lawyer and the cop One thing for certain it ain't never gonna stop When it all gets too heavy That's when they come and go With only one thing in common They got the fire down below It happens out in Vegas happens in Moline On the blue blood streets of Boston Up in Berkeley and out in Queens And it went on yesterday and it's going on tonight Somewhere there's somebody ain't treatin' somebody right And he's looking out for Rosie and she's looking mighty fine And he's walking the streets for Nancy And he'll find her everytime When the street light flicker bringing on the night Well they'll be slipping into darkness slipping out of sight All through the midnight Watch 'em come and watch 'em go With only one thing in common They got the fire down below

Who scared you? Why were you born, my babe?In two-time's arms with all of your charms, my love Why were you born, just to play with me To freak out or to be beautiful, my dear? Load your head, blow it up, feeling good, baby Load your head, blow it up, feeling good, baby, ah Well, my room is so cold, you know you don't have to go, my babe And if you warm it up right, I'm gonna love you tonight, my love Well, I'm glad that we came, I hope you're feeling the same Who scared you and why were you born? Please stay I see your rider coming down the road Got a burden, carrying a heavy load One sack of silver and one bag of gold

One more for the road... thanks for takin me through the workday. Next week same bat time same bat channel... I was a little too tall Could've used a few pounds Tight pants points hardly reknown She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes And points all her own sitting way up high Way up firm and high Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy Workin' on mysteries without any clues Workin' on our night moves Tryin' to make some front page drive-in news Workin' on our night moves In the summertime In the sweet summertime We weren't in love, oh no, far from it We weren't searchin' for some pie in the sky summit We were just young and restless and bored Livin' by the sword And we'd steal away every chance we could To the backroom, to the alley or the trusty woods I used her, she used me But neither one cared We were gettin' our share Workin' on our night moves Tryin' to lose the awkward teenage blues Workin' on our night moves And it was summertime And oh the wonder We felt the lightning And we waited on the thunder Waited on the thunder I awoke last night to the sound of thunder How far off I sat and wondered Started humming a song from 1962 Ain't it funny how the night moves When you just don't seem to have as much to lose Strange how the night moves With autumn closing in
