Well, I heartily agree with the sentiment, which is why I'm pretty sure I started such a topic months ago, but I'll go find where it's buried. Meanwhile, Hunter and Barlow both have non-forum pages here: http://www.dead.net/band

But I can't seem to find where he is posted as a topic. I know that several of us wished him a Happy Birthday. Could he and John Perry Barlow be listed in the subsection Grateful Deadunder section Grateful Dead along with the other band members where they both belong? It's just not right that it is easier to find a topic Lilly Allen on this site than Robert Hunter. Thank You. It is not dead. Some things failed to converge this week and they're working on getting it together. The big fat server meltdown has no doubt slowed things down a bit. When I learn more I'll post it, if TS isn't up by then.

How could we not empathize with you on your 10/31 post? What just happened to you is kinda like what was happening to most of those fans at Winterland (and most other Dead fans) right before Phil finally played the intro to Dark Star on 12/31/78. I was relatively new to the scene at that time but it was a big deal back then and still is today. A lot of Dead fans were getting what they needed for a lot of shows and then ... they got what they wanted. Is patience still a virtue? God, let's hope so. Are anger and being quarrelsome about money acceptable in the Grateful Dead world (huge breath before I run) - God, let's hope not. "From day to day, just lettin' it ride, You get so far away from how it feels inside, You can't let go, 'cause you're afraid to fall, But the day may come when you can't feel at all."

I think it was actually called just Download Series. They had some nine or ten items there. It has been there for a long time (years) and I have bought some of them earlier. It was there few weeks ago. Anyway its not Dicks Picks or The Dead Tour downloads. It was for downloading only and you couldnt have them as CDs at all. It would be nice to have them available again. With this new Winterland box there is some kind of mixup with shipping costs. Better option is cheaper and vice versa. When shipping to Europe they also for some reason want VAT-number. Private citizens dont have one. Not in Finland anyway. I cant see why it is needed. Thank You (again)!

What's up with not being able to order the Winterland June '77 set? I tried it online, and get an invalid user name/password when I try to log into my account. (BTW, same user name/password that I use to get on the site, works great there). When I click on remember my password, I get an email with a temporary one, and when I log in, all of a sudden you're asking me for all my user information again? Not wanting to create a 2nd account, I cancelled our and called the 800#. Guess what, same experience there as well, they could not/would not take my order. Needless to say, I'm fuming right now, especially if I miss the bonus disc on this one. You might tell the people answering the phone that no amount of escalation "to the management team" and endless apologizing will make it any better. As for the Download Series, it was as set of 13 shows ( 1 thru 12, with the 13th being "At The Family Dog" from Feb. 1970) from the late 60's up through '92, I think. They had cover artwork, but no liner notes or anything. I called them Dick's Picks Lite, but they were good shows. I was surprised to no longer see them in the catalogue, since they are worth having.

has always been separate from the Dead.net account. If your Store account has not successfully moved over to the new site, that's not what's supposed to be happening, so speak up. As for the downloads, I am assured they'll be back. More as I know it.

From talking to the people on the 800#, it seems that everyone's store accounts didn't get moved over. I also tried entering the information again and reordering (put in address, CC#, etc.) and clicked to place my order, and it came back that it could not complete my transaction. Needless to say I counted to 10.....many, many times. :-) "All Who Wander Are Not Lost....."

Okay, here's what SHOULD be happening. If it does not map to your experience speak up. 1. This site launched in May 2007. Accounts stored on previous versions of Dead.net were not copied over. 2. If you've set up an account in the Store and/or ordered from the site since then, that account info should have moved over to the new site this week. 3. If you haven't ordered and/or set up an account since May 2007, go ahead and set up a new account because we do not have that info. Like I say, if your experience is different, speak up. Thank you.

When I went to The Dead's show last May at the Shoreline, there was this Dead On The Road lasercut poster by Emek that was on display at the Merch booths. The poster has the same design as the On The Road Tee at the Store page.I asked the people working the booths about it and they told me it wasn't for sale and directed me to Dead.net. I've been checking the Dead.net store for a while now and still haven't seen the poster listed for sale. I've also tried calling the Customer Service number once in a while to ask for it, but the operator really doesn't have any info on it. I was wondering if this poster will ever be put on sale or not? Here is a photo of the poster that I snapped at the merch booth.

Marye, Do you know what the status of restoring past purchases information from users? It's nice to be able to see what I've purchased in the past. Also, when I went to order the new Road Trips Vol. 3 #1, it seems that this time the system knew me but had lost my password. I was able to order with no problems this time. But having that past order info would sure be nice...... Thanks for all your help. Rich Portland OR "All Who Wander Are Not Lost....."

the darn thing is just really ornery. I have trouble with it myself. It helps if the pic is in jpg format and not bigger than about 350 pixels wide at 72 dpi. But that's not foolproof either. Perseverance eventually works in my experience, but this is definitely something I'd like to work better.

I noticed, Marye, that you posted in September that you were assured these would be back. No word yet, I imagine? (I know you're fielding lots of stressful new-release related posts at the moment, so please don't prioritize this one. But when you, or someone, can.... I got a few back in the day, and always thought I'd get around to picking up a few more sometime...) THANK YOU Tony

Please put the set lists back up on the Dicks pics. I had a list of these I was going to order but lost the list. New people to the store would have no idea what music is contained on these disc's and this would probably discourage them from purchasing these. Doesn't make sense to remove the track listing. It once was available.

Hey there, last June I purchased a bunch of downloads from the Dead 09 tour. I never got around to downloading all of them. Recently I went back to finish my downloading, figuring they would still be there. Of course, I can't access them. The link that was sent to me in my receipt is now defunct. I'm really bummed. Are those shows no longer available to download? Why not? And if so, I would like a refund. customer service email guy has not been really helpful about this. There seems to be a language barrier as he does not directly address my question but seems to think that my problem is that I can't download. No, the problem is that I can't access the downloads that I purchased. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

I mean really who the fuck cares enough here to find out whats going on!!! Usually if you ask questions on a forum there are answers!!!! But here on this half assed site there is nothing!!!!! You people are fucking pitiful get your act together!!!

Hold the aggression, man! Maybe nobody answered your question cuz nobody knows. DUH! We are not the Deadstore, we are just folks who like the music. A community. How should we, as individuals, know what they think or why they do what they do? Ranting at us about "half assed sites" isn't gonna inspire anybody to be more communicative with you either. If we're so "pitiful" then just take your hostility elsewhere, by all means. ********************************** By trying we can easily learn to endure adversity -- another man's I mean. Mark Twain

It does seem Boob is a bit off on the perspective. I appreciate the meaning of what he is saying but not the way he is saying it. (I haven't checked to see if Manboob is a she, but this kind of aggression is usually male). I am frustrated not to have all the DPs, especially when this site was offering the entire series for $600. Should have bought it then along with limited Fillmore 69 10 disc set. Live and learn. However, as somebody who has frequent contact with a lot of store owners, it seems to me the more you have in stock, the more you sell. It's a cardinal rule. The idea IS to sell as much as possible, isn't it? That being the case -- C'mon Rhino et. al., crank up the machinery!

...I can't imagine that Rare Cuts and Oddities is one of the main titles buyers are clamoring for. I was utterly psyched when it came out ("Hey Little One" is one of the great Jerry vocal performances on record), but I'd be surprised if it had mass appeal. Glad to hear it's back in the store again, though (?) Dick's 28, though, should appeal to everyone ~ the kind of stuff you use to turn someone on to the Dead! In my top five, probably top three, Dick's of all. So great choices to pine for, Manboob, but remember ~ no one owes us anything.
