Listening dead music
Listening dead music since 1968, it was my first show. Been on a big white cloud for days.
Nice Venue
I had fun at this shoe - I don't recall the sound being especially good and the audience sources seem to bear this out. The Spanish Jam doesn't amount to much and it was my first Scarlet>Fire. I liked the venue, it seemed more intimate and it was on the grounds of the Wonderland Amusement Park. Good times.
Good Stuff
The sound was good, the crowd was good, the venue was great. What more do you need? One of the best Good Lovin's I've ever heard. As I remember, a bea UTIFUL summer night. Ahhhh...the good old days...
It was all good
The Prophet was ozonal ! I remember thinking how sorry I felt for all the people on this furball who weren't there. One of my better days for sure.
Wally World
This became our nickname for this place. We saw the previous show here too. The Dead at Wally World. Great Canadian beer in the lot afterwards.

1st attempt
I went to this show but didn't get in. To add insult to injury as I was leaving a seagull shit on me. So I hadn't seen the dead yet, but no bird shit was going to stop me from trying again!
Circus Tent
I thought the sound was really interesting. The parapets in the circus tent type of shape of the roof provided cones for the music to spiral in. Okay, maybe the blue star paper helped, but I swear the sound people were putting some effects on the sounds in those cones in the roof.
Fantasy hadn't appeared since Hampton, but when they went into it, a dude came up next to me, took out a flute and played his own piece with it. It was surprisingly good.
Oh Canada
Great show...high energy tightness...and the sunset during Scarlet/Fire/Estimated was also incredible. After Bobby's verse "My word fills the sky with flames" he followed with "Check it out" while pointing to the sky behind us...Jerry smiling and dancing. Super friendly/cool staff working there too.
What an adventure
Was my first show outside of New England. As I recall, some of us had ScoobyDoo (or maybe a disney character) stamps on our tickets and that was to signify a free entry into Canada's Wonderland amusement park. I know I had a stamp but can't remember if it got me in for free or not. I had preconceptions of camping in a Canadian forest but in reality it was a HUGE muddy field in the middle of farmland.
Set List Addition
And there was a Far From Me between Candyman and Mama Tried. The 11-song first set was a lot of songs for the time.
