Music is the soundtrack of your life
One whole month, no Pigpen. Disgraceful...................
Doc
What a Month!
Thanks so very much Dave & Team. Its been a fantastic month of wonderful music. The searches have led me to brilliant concerts and given me plenty to cheer about.
Today's challenge is a magnificent way to close out this delightful month. Pleased to report that, (with the aid of DeadBase), i found this first time. Seem to have been able to up my game this year and achieve about an 80% strike rate.
To all my fellow Deadheads, please take care, stay safe, have a great holiday month, and hopefully we will all be back after another circle round the sun.
Love, peace, and compassion!!!
30 more DoD's in the books!
Wow! What a great jam to end this year's dose of daily dead! This must be the most songs and total time of any past years. Thanks to Dave and the dead.net team and good luck to all you fellow sleuths. Have a fantastic year...see you back here in 11 months. Rock on!
sure why not
was hoping for a rarity like a High Time or Terrapin Statin but this'll do.
thanks for everything, Dave. and thank you, intrepid time travelers, for another fun-filled November. hopefully we will all be around next year to revisit some of these old 30 DoD classics again!
Peace,
Smallz
Great Month
Always look forward to November and 30 DOD. Thank you Dave and everyone at Dead.net.
My highest correct yet at 12. Thanks to everyone posting and Happy Holidays!!
Give Thanks
Grateful for this every year...thank you Dave and crew...and to the brothers and sisters, fare thee well until we meet again on the next trip around the sun...be safe and be kind....
Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile
This year for me, counting today, 1st try again: 22 correct (2 wrong, 6 too busy to search). Had 27 last year, I must be slipping. What a blast! All the years combine, they melt into a dream. Until next year cats. Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul.
My wife needs more "her time"
I turn to my wife and I tell her I found it.
In a somewhat sarcastic response she replies, "Awesome! I need to write them for next year, tell them that they need to make them way more difficult. I don't get enough time to do "my thing" while you are searching for the song of the day."
Stay loose everyone and I'll see all you Heads again next year.
Thanks Dave and Co.
Shawn
Fare you well
Only 11 months to go before we meet again - thank you for this favorite month of my year!
Fare you well, fare you well
I love you more than words can tell
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
To rock my soul
Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile
Nothing but gratitude here... We're all winners. Thank you so much. The generous Spirit of the GOGD lives on. Enjoyed the hunts and the discoveries. Getting better at it. Thanks again.
That's it for the other one!
Really, That's all folks! What a month it has been. We'll be looking forward to November 2025. Congratulations to those who won and to that person who will win the BIG PRIZE.
Big shout out to those who post comments of the show or shows they attended during this year's quest for a prize. I'm sure that particular show brings back memories, who went along side you, the venture to the venue and along with that new friendships that last forever.
Thanks Dave and crew for such a tremendous time of the year!
To all DEAD HEADS > PEACE OUT!
Many Thanks
Sad that it's over, but glad for the daily hunt and gifts.
Always a lot of fun!
Much Appreciation
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all involved and you too. And, yes, we must resist the dystopian hellscape being foisted upon us.
Peace be with you.
Long Strange Trips Its Been
Your clue, for this last morsel, was as classic as the 51 minutes of listening pleasure !
Been a crazy year for me ,death & loss of love,(Death Don't Have No Mercy In This Land)
and this years picks were strangely connected . I got a couple songs from the only B-day show, I saw, & to end it, a show from my brothers B-day . He had passed a few months ago now ,born on Thanksgiving and the" He's Gone" set me in a good way, followed by some great listening .
Thanks for sharing and caring & for keeping the spirit alive. Always a highlight in November. going to explore the whole fall '72 tour ,looking at the setlists,(& the 11-19 Houston show being one of my favorite tapes from back in the day) I'm thinking it's an overlooked era. Peace and Love to the Cosmos
Thirty and... done
Always a blast w/y'all. A big dose on the final day. Good headphones listening. Bob & Phil especially there in the beginning. A keyboard note there in the first 10-20 seconds is a strange one ha!
Have fun and close out '24 safely!
Thank you!
Love 30 Days and all it brings. Look forward to it every November. Please keep 'em coming! See y'all soon!
Second Verse, Same as the First
Been doing this since its inception. I always get about 7-10 correct. Never won anything, but that's OK. I like reading the comments (after I guess my show, because some DB always tries to spoil it). I'm impressed with some people's knowledge and ability (and time) to dig through dozens, or hundreds of possible shows. Pretty cool (except for the DBs I previously mentioned). Touch base next November. Until then, as always...GO BRENT!
The Other One
Another Phil tribute - interesting note for The Other One for this show.
The faster we go...
November went by quickly!
What will I do with the extra minutes each morning in December?
Thanks Dave for all you do, you have the best job in the world!
All the years combine
Another season of 30 Days of Dead comes to its conclusive day, and this head cannot be anything other than grateful for the marvelous offerings and variety of songs from different shows across the span of the Good Ol' Grateful Dead's long, strange trip. Many thanks for making each day its own unique journey through song and history!
Thankful
A big thanks to Dave and the crew at Dead.net. I look forward to these 30 Days more than I probably should. ;) But they always bring me such joy, and often turn me on to corners in the Dead's history that I had previously missed. Looks like I am going 29 for 29 (with one abstain; the "Casey Jones"). And congrats to all of you who have won!
Another 30 Days Draws to a Close
I want to thank Dave Lemieux, the GOGD, and anyone else who played a part in another great 30 Days of Dead. I also want to toast both the winners and losers this year for a job extremely well done. Itโs always a tremendous pleasure to play a game like this with the best fans in the world!
Until next time keep those good vibes flowing, โblow the horn and tap the tambourine,โ and โStop hanging off the balcony.โ
Peace & Love,
Slim
Thank you, for real good time
Iโve been playing since the beginning, the first couple years i was lucky to get 5-7 correct. This year im 23-30, i couldnโt play the first five days and then only missed two that I tried. Thank you Dave and Dead.net. I feel that 30 DoD is the only thing to keep me sane this November.
Nothing left to do by smile smile smile
Another Fun Year!
See everybody in 11 months. Thanks Dave and Crew!
Thank you David andโฆ
Thank you David and community! This month of listening and searching is so helpful and rejuvenating, especially in years like this when we so recently lost another brother. RIP Phil, and long live 30DoD. Hope to see you all next November!
November is best!
Thank you David! I have much gratitude for you. November is now my favorite month. 30 days is the best!
Much peace and happiness!!
On with the show ...
Hope to be back with you all next year. We ended with a monster and boy did that month fly by. Think I'll do the full one-time download.
Feeling a little under the weather but this one brightened the morning!
Thanks Dave
Thank you Dave , The Band and Rhino for another great batch of tunes. The Multi song downloads were awesome! Man, how good is that Piedmont Park Dark Star? WOW
Wonderful November
Thank you, Mr. Lemieux! What a splendid way to conclude these very generous offerings. An inspired selection, again. Thanks for all you do!
Thank You....
.....for a real good time
A big, big thanks to Dave and all the team at Dead dot net
Muchas gracias
For 30 days every morning was a nice surprise, checking to see what the tunes would be, and I loved trying to identify the show, and the research involved.
Happy Holidays!!
Sublime Stella
As I listen to Stella again and close my search windows, I can say I am going to miss the daily search and chatter here in a comments.
The band and community just keep on giving in the season of giving and beyond.
Thank Youโฆ.For a Real Good Time
Big thanks to everyone who makes this happen every year, itโs a blast.
Be Well You All
Nothing left to do but.......
wait for another revolution of this bright blue ball we're living on and smile, smile, smile! What a flawless sequence of music to close out 30DOD 2024. Like yesterday, the sync is just exactly perfect. The notes Weir plays around the 7 minute mark of Truckin' are really remarkable. And the ending notes of Stella Blue are the finest I've heard. What a perfect way to float away down that Big River till we all hopefully end up right here again next year. Take care All. May your upcoming year be filled with much Love and Music.
Stellar Stella
What a beautiful note to end upon, and what a GRATE collection of songs and shows. Thank you all so much for doing this each year. It makes me sad but I look forward to next time. I will look at my calendar every day and think of you all.
Grateful
Thanks for another great November! I look forward to this every year! It went by so fast! Seems like just yesterday I was hunting for Casey Jones and never found it ๐ฅน but it is so fun to try. Good luck to everyone trying to win the last calendar and box set!!
So I won yesterday...
But didn't get an email yet. Putting that out here in case tptb are reading. Thanks for a month of music!
no daily winner email yet for me either
i am sure they email after this closes...
These offerings over the past 30 days have gotten a real workout by me and Chief, the cardigan Welsh corgi, here in the Pacific Northwest, as each one has provided the highlight of the soundtrack for our daily walk and put an extra bounce in our steps.
And todayโs selection was just a wonderful way to conclude.
Philโs short and sweet solo string work starting at the 14-minute mark of โThe Other Oneโ once again proves he was a maestro -- and helps to clearly cement, for me, that this era/year represented the Dead at their absolute finest.
But didn't get an email yet. Putting that out here in case tptb are reading. Thanks for a month of music!
